About Last Night…AMERICAN IDOL, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES, AWAKE and More
March 23, 2012 by Marisa Roffman
Thursday night television is normally a monster, but it felt relatively easy last night. Just me?
Let’s talk about what went down…
Erika, AMERICAN IDOL? America voted out Erika? She’s not one of the ones I was absolutely loving, but she deserved better than what she got.
THE VAMPIRE DAIRIES has been many things over the years, but last night I found myself…bored. As in, I didn’t even bother finishing the episode yet because I decided I’d rather watch other things on TV. Can’t remember that happening before. I’ll try again later.
I’m very curious to see how MISSING‘s pace holds up. I liked episode 2 better than the pilot, but if Becca narrowly misses reuniting with her son in every city they go to, it could prove to be rather frustrating. (I haven’t seen anything beyond last night’s episode, so it’s possible that’s the only time that happens this season.)
AWAKE. Oh, AWAKE. I’m so fascinated by this show, but I do wish they’d bring up the car crash “conspiracy” again after that little tease of something not being right back in episode 2. With what was on screen, it was a really strong episode, and Brianna Brown was great as the two Kates. (I still have no idea which reality is “real” and I’m so okay with that.)
I haven’t finished THE SECRET CIRCLE yet, but that was solely because I left for HUNGER GAMES shenanigans. (Yeah, I cheated on TV with movies. Very rarely happens.) I did like what I saw, though.
Considering how excited I was for TOUCH pre-premiere, the fact that I haven’t brought myself to watch episode 2 probably says a lot. For those who watched, was it good?
What did you watch last night?

Loving AWAKE! I was worried it would get bogged down with other plot lines and characters, and it hasn’t yet. Though, I do think I have a preference for which reality I want to be real. I am not sure they want that in their viewers.
