FRINGE: Lance Reddick Teases Things Come to a Head With Alt-Broyles and David Robert Jones
April 12, 2012 by Marisa Roffman
It’s been months since FRINGE viewers were first clued into the fact that alt-Broyles is working with David Robert Jones, but in the aftermath of alt-Lincoln’s death, things are about to come to a head.
I sat down with Lance Reddick (Broyles) last week on the FRINGE set to talk about what’s to come from him in “The Consultant,” how much he’s known of what his character is up to, and whether fans should be bracing for his alt-persona to meet another tragic end. (And as a minor spoiler alert, he does rule out one possibility of what is going on with alt-Broyles during our interview.)
Take a look!
Have any great theories?

So, AltBroyles is not a shapeshifter. So, why is he working with Jones? My guess is that it has to do with his son. In S3, Olivia-as-BOlivia traced Chris’ kidnappers and got information from them that could have led to a treatment for the boy. But with the reset, that didn’t happen. Whether Jones is promising a treatment or Broyles blames Fringe events (and therefore Walter), there’s a motive there.
