THE FINDER Recap: ‘The Inheritance’

Hello! I can’t wait to hear what you thought about this episode of THE FINDER because I have to say it’s my favorite one of the season so far. It had a good case, some funny moments, including some classic Leo lines, and like we talked about last week, Walter showed some much-needed heart toward his customer, and I think that went a long way toward making this episode so fantastic.
BONES Recap: ‘The Warrior in the Wuss’

Hey BONES fans, how did you like this episode, “The Warrior in the Wuss”? I thought that for the first time in a while, the show focused on the story/life of the victim, and that was nice. It’s also not often that all three parts of an episode (case/lab/BB) have so much drama like this one did. For me, it made the episode a little uneven — almost as if I wasn’t sure which part I should care about most. But I don’t know if that’s a bad thing. Thoughts from you? In the meantime, let’s discuss further…

Comments Off on THE FINDER Recap: ‘The Conversation’
Hey everyone! I’m sorry for the lateness of this post, especially because I really did like this episode of THE FINDER. As I was watching it, I found myself thinking that it seemed strangely out of order — things like the lack of exclusivity vibe when Walter talked about Isabel (and that she was not even in the episode because she was “studying”), finding out more about Leo’s family (and him missing them so much weeks AFTER he’d been cozying up to the smarmy lawyer), and I’d thought for sure that Timo and Leo had already met.
So I was pleased to see when show creator Hart Hanson mentioned on Twitter that yes, this episode wasn’t aired in order. He also mentioned that basically he was pleased that fans noticed. So yes, yay us!
BONES Recap: ‘The Don’t in the Do’

Hey, Bones fans! Well, this episode definitely had that something that has been missing in BONES eps for a long time. Of course by that I mean a Toyota advertisement. It had been awhile, you know?
Joking aside, from lingerie to luscious locks of hair, this episode was frothy on top with a dark underside of jealousy, insecurity and murder. Let’s discuss!
THE FINDER Recap: ‘The Last Meal’

Whattup, fans of THE FINDER! How did you like this episode, “The Last Meal”? I thought it was certainly…quirky. Last week I mentioned there was something about the show that kept me coming back, and this week, there were times when I questioned why that is. I found myself rolling my eyes a lot — some jokes were overused (Wonka!), any main character not named Leo was awkward and borderline annoying, and the case was one of the fishier ones of the series so far. But having said all that, I know I’ll tune in next week, because I like the show. As I watched the episode and saw the way Isabel, Willa and (sometimes) Leo rolled their eyes at Walter, I realized that like their main character, the writers seem dedicated to keeping this show…well, I don’t want to say unlikable, because who doesn’t want their show to be liked? I guess more…unique. Frustratingly charming, if I’m feeling generous. Walter comes off as a ‘take or leave it’ kind of guy, and the show carries the same vibe.

Hey, Bones fans! From dirty diapers to competitive couponing to love in the lab, this episode leaves much to be discussed, so let’s get to it.
THE CASE:
The Scene of the Crime: A vacationing family is traveling down the highway when they run over something and all their luggage falls off the top of their car. While gathering their things, they discover a mangled body. Brennan, Cam and Booth arrive to the scene and Brennan realizes the victim’s head is not with the body. At the lab, they determine her body was dragged by a semi-truck

Hello, fans of THE FINDER!
I recapped the series premiere, and though I’ve kept up with the show this season, I haven’t written about it again until now. But I have to say, there’s just something about THE FINDER that has earned a soft spot in my heart, and once it was moved to Fridays, it also earned a spot on my weekly writing schedule.

Hello, BONES fans — long time, no talk! If you’re like me, you have mixed reactions to this episode. Some moments made me laugh, some left me cold, and some filled me with fury. And while I am glad that the B&B baby has arrived, I can’t help but wish they’d spent a little more time on that in this episode. More on that later, but first…
BONES Recap: ‘The Crack in the Code’

We’ve talked about this before; BONES, at its core, is a story of redemption. Season 3 started with the introduction of a serial killer that rocked the team to the core — but the first episode of that season ended with Booth and Brennan (albeit professionally in some ways) agreeing that they were the center…and the center must hold.
THE FINDER Series Premiere Discussion

Filed under #1 featured, The Finder
It’s a great moment when some of the hype and publicity for a new show clears away and the first episode actually airs. At that point, viewers can genuinely weigh in with what they’ve seen and not just with what they’ve heard about. Such is the case with THE FINDER’s premiere on Fox.
Sure, two of this show’s characters, Walter Sherman and Leo Knox, made appearances in a season 6 episode of BONES, but in my opinion, “An Orphan Walks Into a Bar” is a good place to start fairly judging this new series.
BONES Recap: ‘The Twist in the Twister’

Hey, BONES fans! In case you haven’t heard, this is the last episode of 2011 (to learn more or comment on this, see Marisa’s full scoop here), so we want to make this discussion count. How did you like “The Twist in the Twister”? I had mixed feelings — so much welling up inside me, spinning around, rising up, and — oh wait, no…that was just Hodgins and I sharing the nauseated feeling that came from watching “The Sleepy-Time Cyclone.” Haha. I actually DID have mixed feelings though; that’s no lie. Speaking of lies, let’s move on to the ep, starting with…

Well, ho, ho, how the heck are you, WAREHOUSE 13 fans! It’s been a long time since we’ve chatted, but I hope you liked this holiday-themed episode as much as I did. Syfy treated its fans and its shows right this year by offering another round of yuletide cheer for our TV viewing pleasure. Forget about the stress and angst of the season finale and cozy up with Pete, Myka, Claudia, Artie, and even Mrs. Frederic while we discuss this episode.
BONES Recap: ‘The Male in the Mail’

Hey, BONES fans! When I saw the synopsis for this episode, I thought, “If there isn’t a moment in which Brennan holds Booth, I’m going to punch a wall.” Well, “The Male in the Mail” didn’t turn out exactly as I expected, but I’m happy to report I didn’t feel the need to punch anything. I probably would have missed the wall through my Seeley-made Father’s Day card-induced tears anyway, haha. Well done, David Boreanaz, for sure, and the rest of the cast was great also.
Like with all BONES eps this season, I found there were moments I loved and moments I loathed, leaving me somewhere in the middle of those two POVs. There is a lot to discuss in this episode, so we should just get right to it. Starting with…
BONES Recap: ‘The Prince in the Plastic’
November 18, 2011 by Sarah Curtis

Hey, BONES fans! Did you have something like the Prince Charmington doll? I have to admit that sort of thing wasn’t my deal as a kid. I did have The Heart Family and a hand-me-down Barbie convertible, but that was about it. Most of the time, I was playing Uno or kick-ball in the yard. Or reading. Yes, I was mostly reading. I wouldn’t say that I didn’t have any of those kinds of toy experiences, but all in all, I suppose I was more like Brennan (though this poses an interesting point…Max and Christine Brennan were “all science-all the time”? Thoughts?!?), and I felt a tiny twinge when Cam, Daisy and Angela all declared that EVERYONE had a Prince Charmington doll. While none of us really did, I could certainly identify with Brennan NOT having had that alleged shared experience. But enough about toys, for now…let’s discuss this episode. Starting with…
BONES Recap: ‘The Hot Dog in the Competition’
November 10, 2011 by Sarah Curtis
Hey, BONES fans. So…this episode, “The Hot Dog in the Competition,” had a lot of disgusting, gag-worthy moments. Plus, there was a case.
Question: Why would the writers have a pregnant Brennan (and Emily Deschanel) run with all of her might and tackle a suspect to the ground to prove she can see things through Booth’s point of view? On top of that, when the suspect yelled at her, Booth also yelled at her (instead of standing up for her), leaving Brennan to feel foolish and apologize for her actions. And…all of this is necessary for Brennan to learn empathy?
In the interest of keeping this review scientifically clean — language wise — I’ll just say this: that is some serious equine fecal matter! Hey, Worst BONES Scene Ever…Hannah and her sunglasses called — they want their title back.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t just this scene that stunk the place up. The case, Finn’s addition to the lab (and the team’s reaction to him), and the B&B stuff (more on this later), added up to one of the worst episodes in series history.
