SNL – Mark Wahlberg Talks to…Andy Samberg (Watch)

October 19, 2008 by
Filed under Saturday Night Live, SNL

Nice!  We had hoped that Mark Wahlberg hadn’t lost his sense of humor, and after his stellar showing on SNL it’s clear he hasn’t.  Marky Mark was featured in the brilliant opening sketch and then again later in this sketch with Andy Samberg. It’s even that much funnier if you’ve been following Wahlberg’s rants in […]

Sarah Palin’s Weekend Update Gangsta Rap with Amy Poehler

Filed under Saturday Night Live, SNL

Sorry but it’s not like SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE is funny ever week.  There were a lot of moments to share…including this Weekend Update bit featuring Sarah Palin and her Alaskan gangsta rap. Sarah Palin herself bopping along was funny, but Amy Poehler rapping in the “terminal phase of her pregnancy” was hysterical.

Sarah Palin on SNL with Alec Baldwin & Tina Fey

Governor Sarah Palin…the real one and the one portrayed by Tina Fey made an appearance on SNL this week in what was one of the best opening skits in a long time.  I was also overjoyed that Alec Baldwin joined in on the funny.  When we heard the rumor that Palin was going to be […]

About Last Night…Ricky Gervais, UGLY BETTY, SNL, KATH & KIM, GREY’S and more…

I earned my TV watching stripes last night. I was a pro.  The amount of TV watching I did last night was impressive if I do say so myself.  I was on fire! Let me break it down for you… I kicked off the night by watching the screener I just got for the upcoming […]

Mark Wahlberg Talks to Animals – SNL

October 6, 2008 by

The Tina Fey/Sarah Palin skit was of course hysterical, but for some reason the “Mark Wahlberg Talks to Animals” skit had me cracking up too. Who wakes up one day and realizes they can do a Marky Mark impression? The awesome Andy Samberg of course. Say hi to your mother for me… This was definitely […]

Tina Fey as Sarah Palin on SNL

September 14, 2008 by

We knew it was coming.  We knew it was going to be brilliant, but come on…this was perfect! It was almost scary how much Tina Fey looks like and sounds like Sarah Palin.  Let’s hope this means Tina is on SNL a lot more this season…well at least until November.

Michael Phelps to Host SNL’s Season Premiere

You knew this was coming… Michael Phelps will be hosting SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE when the show kicks off its 34th season on September 13th.  Phelps joins a long list of distinguished athletes who have been asked to host.  Some like fellow Olympian Nancy Kerrigan and Yankees star Derek Jeter* have been quite horrendous.  Just horrible.  […]

Steve Carell on SNL: Opening Monologue and “Bless this Child”

Steve Carell made the most of his hosting duties during last night’s season finale of SATURDAY NIGHT LIGHT. In case you missed it, here’s Steve’s opening monologue (with a special appearance by his wife Nancy Walls). And one of the oddest, but funniest skits was Steve and Kristin Wiig’s “Bless this Child” And if you […]

SNL: The Japanese Version of THE OFFICE

The best moment of last night’s season final of SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE was most definitely the digital short during which Ricky Gervais’ introduced us to the original version of THE OFFICE. Nope, it’s not his UK version but rather the original, original OFFICE which of course was from Japan. Jason Sudekis as Jim Halpert kills […]

TV Stars Every Which Way You Look at the NBC Upfronts

It’s going to be a bit before I’m able to upload my pictures from last night’s NBC Upfront party, but I thought I would share a few of the highlights and set the scene. Because NBC already had revealed their 2008-09 primetime schedule a few weeks ago, they didn’t have their traditional Upfront presentation.  This […]

FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS Returns and More from News NBC

Had I been paying attention and known that NBC was going to be having their faux Upfronts today I might have stayed a bit closer to my computer. But alas I am a wee bit behind in sharing the big news from the Peacock today. But there is news (and not just that of THE […]

Project Runway’s Christian Siriano on ELLEN and SNL

His Royal Fierceness, PROJECT RUNWAY winner Christin Siriano appeared as a guest on The Ellen DeGeneres Show today. This kid is crazy talented, and he has won be over despite my early loathing. Here he is talking to Ellen about his style, the support of his family, and his future plans. And you know you’ve […]
