Wow. I didn’t even realize. Thanks for the heads up!

First of all, thanks for posting! I can’t find it anywhere else!

Also, did anyone notice that all the actors from the comedy series are all on NBC’s Thursday block? Why are there only 4? That seems a little odd.

    Thanks again!

Any word on supporting actor nominations for television? (They do give those out, right?)

  4. Mandy on December 14th, 2006 9:12 am

Thanks for posting the nominations. It is a little weird the best male comedy would only have 4 instead of 5. I guess it was a little too hard to pick the 5th.

I would think Desperate Housewives would be drama, but what do I know?

Thanks GMMR! I swear you had this posted within 10 seconds of the nominations being announced. so great!

Thanks GMMR! I’m surprised, but happy, that Evangeline Lily finally received recognition for Lost. Overall, I’m happy with the nominations, but am disappointed that none of The Office supporting actors/actresses got a nod – though that’s always a tough category to get into since it covers everything.

I’m especially happy for The Office and Steve Carell (of course), America Ferrera and Ugly Betty, Zach Braff, and Heroes and Masi Oka!

Can we all say ‘amen’ that there is no sign of 2 1/2 Men?? I love that good comedies are finally being recognized! And I love that Big Love is in there. Great show. And Ugly Betty! And Weeds!! Since none of the Office peeps got a nod in the supporting categories, I’m all about Justin Kirk from Weeds – he is the best thing about the show.

where the heck is kristen bell and Veronica Mars on that list???

    overall, it’s a pretty decent list…

  9. Tobes on December 14th, 2006 12:02 pm

Good list. The only ones I would dispute are the Desperate Housewives ones. There are better performances out there that are more deserving, IMO. Thanks for posting this GMMR!!

“I guess I’m still bitter about him stealing the Emmy from Carell”

Aren’t we all? I can’t wait for Steve’s speech this year if he beats Tony. You know he will have a good time with it.

And yeah Office! As much as I think the supporting actors were shafted, this show is really more about the ensemble and what better way to acknowledge ALL of them than with a nomination for Best Comedy? It rocks.

  11. Future Dwight on December 14th, 2006 4:50 pm

Sarah Paulson is the worst. Which means she’s probably going to win.

  12. TheNextKristin on December 14th, 2006 10:35 pm

Sarah Paulson is NOT the worst! I should send Future Dwight an angry fax.

  13. Future Dwight on December 15th, 2006 12:59 am

Sarah Paulson is pretty much the entire reason I stopped watching “Studio 60”. So, if she isn’t the worst, she’s pretty close in my book.

Sigh… if I ruled the world Johny C. McGinley would always be up for best supporting actor.
    Other than that great picks.
Only thing is: some of those shows (30 Rock for example) have only had a few episodes so far. And although Heroes is a great show, I’m not sure exactly where it’s going, so I’m a little wary of declaring it the best drama on TV.
