NKOTB Not Hangin’ Tough After All
January 28, 2008 by Kath Skerry
Looks like my excitement over the New Kids on the Block reunion was a bit premature. Despite People Magazine revealing that sources close to the former group had confirmed a reunion was indeed in the works, it seems that they were wrong. Well as least according to former NKOTBer Danny Wood who just posted the following on his MySpace page:
“Hello to everyone. Hope all is well and everyone is enjoying the New Year. I wanted to address the rumors of the NKOTB Reunion Tour. There has been no talk of this and you are getting it from source directly. Never say never, and you can’t believe everything you read.
Danny has the most to gain from this and little reason to lie, but come on, there has to be something to this story? Am I supposed to believe that people go around randomly making up rumors about New Kids on the Block? I’m still holding out hope, but sadly I don’t think I’ll be swaying to “Please Don’t Go Girl” anytime in the near future (well except for when I listen to my iPod).

Like you say, Danny has no reason to lie about this…but nkotb.com seems to imply there is some news coming. Not that I checked or anything…

Oh why oh why did Dwood have to burst this glimmer of hope for us all!? 😉
Oh, now he’s changed his tune…now on his page (not that I checked ot anything)
More on NKOTB…
Hi to all the New Kids On The Block fans, I wanted to clarify since my first post this morning regarding the NKOTB reunion. I loved being a part of the group, and have always thought “maybe someday we’ll get back together” – you just never know when your someday will come. I can guarantee all the fans that if this reunion were to happen, they would hear about it first on http://www.NKOTB.com.
As Michelle posted it looks like he changed his tune. Also there is a new song, (I think. I never got their last record.) at the website along with a new video showing old pictures.
I’m so hurt…but it was a nice thought…even for moment. As you said…back to my iPod.

I heard that as well @ Danny’s initial comment & subsequent “change in tune”. All I have to say: Shit or get off the pot 🙂
heheheh… and now… we’re in 2009 and they’re on tour…. with a new album (The Block)… Isn’t it ironic?
