By far the best moment of this year’s SAG Awards was when the cast of THE OFFICE, my very favorite show on television, took home the award for Outstanding Cast in an Ensemble Series (Comedy). It was a pleasant surprise and I think the cast was a bit surprised as well.
Here are some pics from the cast of THE OFFICE on the red carpet on last night’s SAG Awards. I’m having MAJOR technical difficulties today which is precluding me from sharing the ton of photos I have of the cast from last night. I figure something was better than nothing, but I do sincerely apologize and hope to have the rest up soon.
Congrats once again to this fabulous group of actors: Steve Carell, Rainn Wilson, Jenna Fischer, John Krasinski, Angela Kinsey, Ed Helms, Brian Baumgartner, Oscar Nunez, Phyllis Smith, Leslie David Baker, Kate Flannery, Creed Bratton, BJ Novak, Paul Lieberstein, Mindy Kaling, Melora Hardin and Craig Robinson. We miss you and can’t wait to see you (in non-reruns) soon!
THE OFFICE Cast – Red Carpet Arrivals….
THE OFFICE – Live from the Red Carpet
The video isn’t great, but hopefully it will serve a purpose until better quality videos are available.
Video #1: Ed Helms, BJ Novak, Jenna Fischer, Kate Flannery, Angela Kinsey, Brian Baumgartner and John Krasinski in various red carpet moments from last night’s SAG Awards
Video #2: John Krasinski talks to TV Guide’s Lisa Rinna on the red carpet (not sure how he kept his eyes on her face and not her inappropriate cleavage…nice job, John)
More pics from the ceremony and after party will be available once I figure out a way to beat this blog into an inch of its life and get things working again.

A girl can really get used to this whole new episode of THE OFFICE every Thursday thing. After a summer without, I feel almost spoiled. Counting down the hours go a bit easier when I can talk about my favorite show with all of you, so let’s get to it.
Tonight on THE OFFICE….
“Launch Party” | 9pm on NBC
Michael gleefully anticipates attending the company’s Web-site launch party in New York. Meanwhile, Angela arranges a bash in Scranton, while tight Dwight gets wrapped up in a real paper chase: He tries to sell more paper than the Web site. (Promos at OfficeTally.com)
From the Desk of Meredith Palmer…
In this week’s TV Guide blog, Kate Flannery gives us a little scoop on just how plastered she got for tonight’s episodes and fills us in on why she’s so excited to attend The Office Convention in Scranton later this month. Read Kate’s updates for all the latest news, but be warned, there are a few spoilers for tonight’s episode. Leave her a comment – I know she reads them all. (Kate’s Blog)
LIVE Office Chat Tonight…
Looking forward to watching The Office with some of you tonight. If you’re around and want to watch The Office along with us, stop by the GMMR/Buddy TV LIVE Office chat tonight beginning at 8:30pm EST. Newbies are welcome! Go ahead and set a reminder so you don’t forget. (GMMR’s The Office/TVj sessions)

Congrats to THE OFFICE Accountants Brian Baumgartner, Angela Kinsey and Oscar Nunez for their first Daytime Emmy win. Last night they took home the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Broadband Program. All three were on hand to accept the award last night in Hollywood. The webisodes were shot and directed by THE OFFICE’s Directory of Photography, Randall Einhorn.

THE OFFICE – NBC Upfront Red Carpet & After Party Pics

Well it’s taken me a few days, but I finally got around to posting my pics of the cast of THE OFFICE from last Monday’s NBC Upfronts. Of course I was excited beyond belief to see the cast of THE OFFICE. It’s never going to get old seeing them. Most of the cast came down to greet the fans before heading inside. John Krasinski and Jenna Fischer snuck in before we could see them. We called for Mindy and BJ and they gave us a quick wave (come on Ryan and Kelly). Rainn Wilson looked so not Dwight with his full beard, and the guys at ABC Upfront party were STILL talking about Angela Kinsey’s hotness the next day. Here’s a few shots from the cast’s arrival on the red carpet (with a few of my own shots thrown in for good measure):
…and then the after party
My friend Kelly (who you may all remember from GMMR’s coverage of last year’s Upfronts, and whom you will see more of later this week) snagged a fantastic photo with the cast, but alas I was too late.
In the pics below, make sure you take notice of where Kelly not only chose to sit, but where her hand was placed. Yes, only one of my friends would manage to place her hand in between John Krasinski’s legs. I’d call her a hussy, but it was just a fortunate mistake. As I mentioned before, I missed seeing John by about 10 minutes. Oh well, not a biggie. I did get to snag a few shots with the cast later and got some quality girl talk in with the fabulous Kate Flannery (whom I adore). I helped Phyllis take some pics of her with her friend in front of the famed fountain at Rockefeller Center, and I even got a chance to talk to the incredibly handsome Steve Carell, who said that he really liked the write-up of the day I spent on The Office…how cool is that?! And by cool I mean BIZARRE!! Here’s a few of the shots that Kelly and I snagged on Monday night.
THE OFFICE Thursday on Give Me My Remote

Is anyone else really nervous about tonight? An episode of THE OFFICE shouldn’t have me popping Tums this early in the morning. But I’ve seen the promos and I’ve been reading all the spoilers (or foilers) that have been floating around this things called the world wide web, and I’m nervous, anxious and on the verge of being scared. Lord, beer me strength to make it to the finale. I trust the writers, I trust the writers – it’s been my mantra all season and I can’t give up on them yet.
IMPORTANT! Out of respect for spoiler-phobes, if you are going to leave a comment about tonight’s episode or any of the speculation/spoilers you’ve heard this week about the season finale of The Office, PLEASE make sure you start your comment with “SPOILER ALERT”. This way those who don’t want to know anything can just skip over your comments. I’m going to be monitoring the comment as best as I can but if you could do this for me it would be a big help.
You Know Your Stuff…
Last week we had a little Office trivia contest here on Give Me My Remote. I selected a winner at random from all the correct entries, and I’m happy to report that Jessica was the big winner. Jessica can choose anything from the GMMR store. Thanks to everyone for playing. The trivia contest got such a good response we might bring it back soon.
The Upfronts…
Monday is the big day! That’s when we will find out whether or not NBC has decided to extend The Office to one hour each week. We will also find out if the show will remain at 8:30pm or move to the rumored 9pm timeslot. I was lucky enough to score an invite to NBC’s Upfronts presentation, so I will be there live when the news is announced. The second I can make my way to a computer I will be sure to share the scoop with all of you. It should be fun. Hopefully I’ll get a chance to see the cast, and if I do I’ll send them your love 🙂
LIVE Office Chat TONIGHT…
We are getting down to the wire. I hope you are all ready for what I am expecting to be a pretty lively Office chat tonight. You know the drill by now. We all meet up over at BuddyTV around 8pm and watch the show together. I hope you can make it. Bring a friend, all are welcome! Click here to set a reminder for the Office chat.
Tonight on The Office…
“Beach Games” – Supersized (special time: 8:42pm ES)
Michael’s under consideration for a corporate position. To find his successor, he takes the team to the beach and puts them through a series of grueling games. It’s Survivor: Dunder-Mifflin — outwit, outplay, outlast.
I’ve watched the promos for tonight’s episode (oh about 50 times) and let me just say this – if the NBC promo monkeys are screwing with us I’m seriously going to kick some ass. You can’t toy with our emotions…not after everything we’ve been through since ‘Casino Night’. Here’s to hoping they aren’t just screwing with us – please.
- Watch a promo for Beach Games
- Watch 2 clips from tonight’s episode (Yahoo!)
- Check out photos from tonight episode (Just Jared)
From the desk of Meredith Palmer…
Kate Flannery is back and this week she gives us a little insight on what it was like to shoot tonight’s episode “Beach Games”. From the perils of being on location to working again with director Harold Ramis, we get a look behind the curtain. Kate also gives us the scoop on her recent trip to the Kentucky Derby – oh to be a celebrity. Leave Kate a comment – I know she reads them. (Kate’s Blog)

We are just hours away from an all new episode of The Office. I didn’t think I would survive the crazy long hiatus, but I did. It’s been over a month, and unless it’s a summer hiatus, we just shouldn’t have to go that long – it’s just not right. And just how long ago was the last new episode? Well to put in perspective as of February 22, 2007….
- Rainn Wilson hadn’t yet hosted SNL
- The Black Donnellys hadn’t premiered (or been canceled)
- Jennifer Hudson was not an Oscar winner
- American Idol’s Antonella Barba was just another contestant on the show
- No pics of JKras in “Leatherheads” had surfaced yet
- The O.C. was still on the air
- I hadn’t yet been to the set of The Office (Tanster & I didn’t even know yet)
- Jenna Fischer hadn’t starred in the #1 movie in the country (YAY Jenna!!!)
See, it HAS been a long time. But tonight’s SUPERSIZED episode is going to be classic. Those of us who were lucky enough to attend The Office panel at the Paley Festival have seen most of the ep and we laughed our asses off. Hours people…hours. Let’s get to it.
A Little House Keeping…
Jenna Fischer will be on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno tomorrow night. Make sue you watch it and yell really loud for Jenna – I bet she can hear you!!
Steve Carell attended (and got slimed) at the recent Kid’s Choice Awards. The big story was how jacked Steve is. His arms put Spiderman’s to shame. Damn he looks good. Check out the pics at OfficeTally.com
Yesterday I posted some behind the scenes footage of John Krasinski’s upcoming film “License to Wed“. If you missed it make sure to check it out here. John has 2 films being released this month: “A New Wave” (which was filmed a few years ago) and “Smiley Face” with Anna Farris opening on April 20th. I’ll be sure to share the details of each premiere when I get them.
Finally a HAPPY BIRTHDAY goes out to The Office scribe (and Vance Refrigeration employee) Lee Eisenberg. In honor of Lee’s birthday NBC decided to air a new episode of The Office tonight. How nice of them! Lee and his writing partner Gene wrote the upcoming episode, “Women Appreciation” which I believe will air on April 26th (but don’t hold me to it).
LIVE Office Chat TONIGHT…
Reunited and it feels so good. Tonight’s episode is going to be great because I get to watch it with all my BuddyTV friends. For those of you who have never watched the show with us over at BuddyTV you should stop in tonight. We normally get started around 8pm, but tonight I’ll probably open things up a bit earlier since we all need some time to catch up. I hope to see you all there tonight. Click here to set a reminder for the Office chat.
Tonight on The Office… “The Negotiation”
(8pm – 4:42pm EST) SUPERSIZED EPISODE
When Darryl (Craig Robinson) corners Michael about a pay increase, the meeting compels Michael to scrutinize his own salary. Meanwhile, Pam’s confession to Roy (David Denman) impacts Jim. (More pics from “The Negotiation”)
Yahoo!TV has 2 clips up for tonight’s show (view clips) (Note: There was a VERY spoilerific clip up that was subsequently pulled down. If you are going to leave comments PLEASE don’t reference that clip and spoil it for others)

Don’t blame me for a shorter than usual Office Thursday. Blame the folks over at NBC that have us in reruns (or variations thereof) until April 5th. There’s not a ton of Office gossip, but you know how this works…what’s mine is yours. It seems that the ladies of Dunder Mifflin are ruling the headlines these days. Nice work! In the immortal words of Fergie “Let’s get it started”
Tonight on The Office…
“Traveling Salesmen & The Return” – Special 1 hour “Newpeat”
The Office producers know the fans hate all these damn repeats so tonight they’re trying out a little something new – a spin on the repeat called the “newpeat”. The previously aired “Traveling Salesmen” and “The Return” have been re-edited into an hour long episode complete with new scenes that will introduce a new storyline.
And why are TPTB doing this? Well it’s for those of us die hard Dunder Mifflinites that just need something…anything to tide us over until April 5th. “Their loyalty must be rewarded somehow, and we don’t have the budget to send out 10 million muffin baskets,” says Executive Producer Greg Daniels. Greg, although the muffin basket would be nice, I would be much happier if the “new” storyline you introduced had something to do with Jim breaking up with Karen and Pam declaring her love for Halpert. Too much of a stretch? A girl can dream.
The “Oval” Office …
I usually end The Office Thursday with the video of the week, but this one is so great I had to get right to it. So funny.

Just got home from the Museum of Television & Radio Paley Festival featuring The Office. It was a wonderful evening filled with laughs and tears. Ok, there were no tears but I was hoping to make my review a little more quotable. There were laughs though – many of them.
Upon entering the DGA I immediately spotted my first cast members as they were giving interviews in the media line. I was standing off to the side and warmly greeted by Leslie David Baker (aw, Stanley). While in the lobby I met up with some friends whom I’ve met online and those responsible for hooking me up with a ticket. I don’t know if mentioning names is cool, but you know who you are and THANK YOU!! The MTR people were trying to escort people in, but they weren’t having much luck since the cast was just inches away and everyone wanted to watch them.

The Cast of The Office in the Press Room
The first few minutes are awkward but it’s well worth it just to see the way John pulls Jenna over to him. If you squint enough you can pretend it’s Jim and Pam and life is all good. Oh, and could Paul (Toby) be ANY cuter?! I don’t think so. And I love how when a reporter asks what the award looks like, Angela just jumps off stage and brings it over to him. Adorbs! They all seems like SO much fun and appreciative of this time in their lives.

You can’t give me a hard time for serving up a short Office Thursday post, because c’mon, this whole week has been one big Office Thursday, agreed?
Congratulations to the cast and crew of The Office for getting an early pick up from NBC for next season. I don’t think anyone doubted a 4th season, but the early announcement is a sign of respect from NBC. CONGRATS!!!!
On we go…
The one…the only…the ORIGINAL “Office” Chat…
I guess I’ll start off by letting you know that we will in fact we having our weekly LIVE Office chat tonight over at BuddyTV.com. As always, we’ll be gathering around 8pm EST and chat it up throughout the show. I’m looking forward to seeing the regulars tonight, and let’s see if we can’t persuade a few newbies to join us. Click here to set a reminder about tonight’s chat.
Tonight on The Office and BREAKING NEWS…
“The Return”: Oscar returns after his 3-month company-paid vacation but is he already reconsidering his future at the office? Meanwhile, the new Devil of Dunder Mifflin, Andy, exploits recent events to inch closer to Michael. Not dawesome, not dawesome at all. On the other side of the office, Jim colludes with Pam and Karen to trick someone in the office—but the target’s not Dwight. And I’m going to go out on a limb and say that we are going to have yet another episode where Jim and Pam don’t talk to each other about what’s going on between them. Prove me wrong Greg Daniels…prove me wrong.
BREAKING NEWS: According to NBC.com a producer’s cut of the episode will be airing after the episode. YES!! Expect it to be online shortly after the end of the West Coast airing of the show (so around 12:00 AM EST/9:00 PM PST) (thanks to Tori for the tip)

Thursday – my favorite day of the week. And time for a little tradition we have hear at GiveMeMyRemote.com called “Office Thursdays”. This is when I try to catch you up on all the latest Office gossip. Y’all know The Office is my favorite show, and if I’m not careful I could be a few posts away from making this an Office fansite. I try to keep some of the best stuff for my Thursday posts. But by the time Thursdays roll around I feel like some of this is already old news. What do you think? Should we keep Office Thursdays going?
Make sure to check back throughout the day for more Office news. But for now, one we go…
This Week on The Office…
YahooTV has 3 clips from this week’s episode entitled “The Initiation”. I have absolutely NO self control. I promised myself all week that I was going to avoid the Yahoo clips. Yeah, I lasted about 10 minutes. Damn you Yahoo! So between those three scenes, and the one that was featured before John Krasinski’s Ellen interview, I feel like I’ve already seen the whole show. Ok, I’m being a bit dramatic, but still. (Yahoo TV Clips)
Meredith Blogs and We Love Her For It….
Each and every Thursday Kate Flannery gives us the inside scoop on all things Dunder Mifflin. Not just what’s happening on set, but also a glimpse into what it’s like to be an actress on the BEST comedy on TV. This week is no exception, check out Kate’s TV Guide blog and learn what it’s really like in those SWAG suites, as well as what BJ Novak does while on set. (Kate’s TV Guide Blog)
A special thanks to Kate for giving GiveMeMyRemote.com a shout out in her blog. Make sure you leave her a comment over at TV Guide and thank her on behalf of GMMR.
“Anyway, I have a few more Office fan websites for you to checkout. I’ve mentioned before NorthernAttack.com, but please checkout Givememyremote.com. (It’s awesome.)…”
Angela Kinsey Fan Club…
If you are a regular GMMR reader then you know how much I adore Angela Kinsey. She seems to sweet, so nice and a world away from the”hot Christian chick” she plays on the show. That’s why I was so giddy to stumble across this TV Guide Q&A with her this morning. (Q&A with Angela Kinsey)
Another reason I love Ang, she’s SO good to her fans. Click here to listen to a message she left for fans on OfficeTally.com.
Jenna & John – in style in InStyle…
Both Jenna and John are featured in InStyle magazine’s “What’s Hot” section. Find out who Jenna’s first celebrity crush was (same as mine by the way), and what desert would John take over the infamous jello? (Jenna in InStyle) (John in InStyle)
And make sure you check out the smokin’ hot pics of Jenna from Entertainment Weekly. Pam is pretty and all, but it still amazes me how they manage to downplay Jenna’s looks. Yeah, I have a bit of a girl crush, don’t you? (Jenna in EW)
Scranton, PA Loves The Office…
The people of Scranton, PA don’t mind being the butt of the occasional joke, especially when the joke is coming from some of the sharpest and smartest comedy writers in the business today. Being the non-fictional town where the fictional Dunder Mifflin resides definitely has its perks. And the rumor is still out there that the cast is planning a trip to the actual Scranton to film a St. Patrick’s Day episode. If you need extras, I know a few bloggers that wouldn’t mind throwing on a little green for ya (even if it is whorish). (Scranton Meets “The Office”)
Why is Pam not with Jim?
A question women around the world want to know. He’s sweet, adorable, funny, and he’s her lobster. So what’s keeping them apart. Well check out Jenna Fischer’s latest MySpace blog, and let her explain. Here’s a little taste:
“People want to know why she hasn’t called Jim all this time but you have to look at it realistically…she just got out of a 10 year relationship with her high school sweetheart. When she called off the wedding, Jim had already been living in Stamford. She has no idea what he is doing there. Maybe he has a girlfriend but even if he doesn’t, what are they going to do? Have a long distance romance? I’m sure she’s thought of it but it’s awkward. She’s not the type of person who takes a lot of initiative.”
SPOILER ALERT!!! Pics from “Diwali”…
In the November 2nd episode (“Diwali”) the kids leave the office and head out to experience some cultural diversity. Yeah, and we know how that worked out for them last time. JustJared.com has pics from the episode. And is that Pam flirting with another man? Let’s hope not. She’s got too much on her plate as it is 🙂 (“Diwali” sneek peek)
Steve Carell and Oscar Nunez are Animal Lovers…
I hope you all got a chance to check out the Night of Too Many Stars fundraiser that was on Comedy Central this past week. It was funny as all hell. One of the best skits of the night featured two of Dunder Mifflinites finest. Check out this hilarious clip featuring Steve Carell (Michael Scott) and Oscar Nunez (Oscar Martinez). Oh, and since Oscar is traveling with Gil in Europe for the next 3 months, this might be all we see of him for some time, so enjoy.

The Office LIVE Chat TONIGHT…
I missed last week’s LIVE Office chat over at BuddyTV.com, but GMMR reader and Office superfan, Ddker, was kind enough to fill in for me. But I’m back tonight and I’m sooo looking forward to watching “The Initiation” with you. If you’ve never come to our LIVE BuddyTV chats, check it out – it’s a fun new way to watch the episodes. And you never know who might just show up. CLICK HERE to set a reminder. And I hope to chat with you tomorrow night at 8pm EST.

Ok I have NO idea how this one escaped my radar, but we’ve got some important Must See TV tomorrow night. Jon Stewart is hosting Comedy Central’s first live, on-air and online special event, Night of Too Many Stars: An Overbooked Benefit for Autism Education. The show will be held at New York City’s Beacon Theatre on Sunday, October 15. The comedians will perform to raise money to benefit education and research programs for autistic children and adults.
You can watch the show LIVE on Comedy Central at 8/7c or you can watch it online at ComedyCentral.com.
Check out this AMAZING list of comedians and performers:
Will Arnett, Jack Black, Steve Carell, Kristin Chenoweth, Stephen Colbert, Elvis Costello, Jimmy Fallon, Will Ferrell, Will Forte, Fred Armisen, Ricky Gervais, Norm Macdonald, Christopher Meloni, Moby, Oscar Nunez, Mike Myers, Bob Odenkirk & David Cross, Amy Poehler, Paul Rudd, Borat Sagdiyev, Adam Sandler, Amy Sedaris, Martin Short, Tony Sirico, Ben Stiller, Triumph the Insult Comic Dog, Brian Williams
I mean, seriously, have you EVER see a list like this before. We’ve got the BEST of what true comedy has to offer. And on a personal note, you know I am floored at the idea of Carell and Gervais being in the same place at the same time.
The Office Recap: Gay Witch Hunt

It was over too soon. Although that is my thought at the end of every episode of The Office, it felt particulary true last night. We’ve been waiting months for the S3 premiere and to finally see the ramifications of Jim’s confession of love and his kissing Pam. Months filled with speculation based on spoilers and foilers (yes, Jenna Fischer you are a sneaky girl). But the moment came and went all too soon. Here’s how it played out:
Jim: You have no idea how long I’ve wanted to do that
Pam: Mee too. I think we’re drunk.
Jim: I’m not drunk. Are you drunk?
Pam: No
[Jim leans in for another kiss]
Pam: Jim
Jim: Are you still going to marry him?
[She nods]
Jim: Ok
[Jim walks away]
Um, what?! Hello..what the hell happened. I thought he loved her. He walked away pretty easily, too easily in my opinion. Some will argue that he gave it a shot, “once”, and that’s all he ever wanted. But dude, she told him she had wanted to kiss him too. Doesn’t that mean anything? After all that, he just walks away like it was nothing. I’m still a little bewildered.
“The Office” Webisodes – #5 is Live

Ha ha ha ha…stop what you are doing and go check out the latest Office webisode. These are getting funnier and funnier by the week. This one is definitely my favorite, and no, not just because it features David Denman (Roy). Kevin (Brain Baumgartner), Angela (Angela Kinsey) and Oscar (Oscar Nunez) are freakin’ hysterical in this week’s installment. I don’t want to give anything away, BUT, I soooooo hope that the theme of this week’s webisode resurfaces in Season 3 because it could be AWESOME [/katy]. You’ll know what I mean once you watch it.
