Rashida Jones & Craig Bierko in New Fox Pilot

Craig Bierko, who has a reoccurring role on Boston Legal (but who will forever be Carrie’s jazz playing boyfriend on SATC) has been cast as the lead in Fox’s comedy “The Rules of Starting Over,” playing a thirty something newly single man among a group of recently divorced friends.
The Office’s Rashida Jones also has been cast in the pilot, playing a partner at a law firm looking for a decent guy.
Um, yeah…Rashida Jones in a new show? You know what this means?! Karen is on her way out!! Much love to Rashida. Once a Dunder Mifflinite, always a Dunder Mifflinite so we will be pulling for you. But I can’t help but be a little excited about Jim and Karen’s split. I’m selfish.
Rashida Jones & David Denman…Please!!!

Let’s hope that the folks over at The Office stop by GMMR today, and just stare at this beautiful picture and let their minds be filled with all the possibilities. See we LOVE Roy (as long as he’s not with Pam) and we love Karen (as long as she’s not with Jim). There’s this thing someone told me once, I can’t remember the exact saying but it was something about a stone and two birds. Just consider it, ok?
TV Boyfriend Watch ’06: John Krasinski & Rashida Jones

You may recall that I had a mini-meltdown last Friday when I heard that Rashida Jones has been added to the cast of The Office. After a long and contemplative weekend I came to the conclusion that I trust in the writers and producers of The Office, and whatever they want to do is fine by me. But you know I was secretly crushed at the thought of watching my #1 TV boyfriend, John Krasinski, canoodle with his rumored girlfriend every Thursday night. Well, since you all seem to be as intrigued as I was by all of this, I thought I would share this tidbit from E!’s Kristin Veitch regarding the on-screen/off-screen love.
Did you know Rashida and John used to date in real life? I doggy doo you not. Sources tell me he fought hard to get his ex-girlfriend the role. So…is John just that nice? Or does a certain someone still have feelings? I’ll never tell! (‘Cause, um, I don’t know.)
What’s really interesting is that I was in this chat with Kristin LIVE and the above quote was NOT part of the chat. I know because (a) I specifically look for Office goodies to share with y’all, and (b) I asked Kristin during the chat if the rumors about John & Rashida were true and she didn’t answer.
This leads me to believe that she took some time to get this scoop before posting it today. Ugh, he fought hard to be around this gorgeous woman all day? Damn.
Say it with me…I trust the writers – I trust the writers – I trust the writers. And I’ve said it before and I will say it again. Rashida Jones is an accomplished actress on her own. She’s on the show because TPTB thought she deserved the part. I’m sure John didn’t “get” Rashida the role if she didn’t earn it. Ok enough gossiping about JK and RJ…yuck, I feel dirty.
