THE OFFICE: Employee Transfer
October 30, 2008 by Kath Skerry

Hey OFFICE writers…don’t think for a minute that you pulled one over on us. A whole episode revolving around the romantic entanglements of Dunder Mifflin? Yeah, we saw right through you…and I couldn’t care less. Tonight may have had an underlying theme of fighting for the one you love, but it certainly used the funny to get us there, so I’m all for it.
Before we go any further, please stand up…yes, get on your feet…and applaud last night’s awesome cold open. Creed (and Kevin and Dwight) as the Joker was brills!! If I were working at Dunder Mifflin (dare to dream) and Creed was walking around looking like that, I’m not sure I would have been able to stay. I think everyone is lucky he didn’t go all method and kill everyone at their desks. And Pam as Charlie Chaplin/Hilter? As someone who hates Halloween with a passion, I think Pam’s scenario of being the only one to show up in a costume is perhaps my worst nightmare. I can’t imagine the horror. Funny stuff all the same. Too bad we didn’t get to see more of it. I’m sure the makeup and costume people were bummed to know all their hard work was up on the screen for less than five minutes. Job well done.
Life is a highway, I wanna ride it all night long (that’s what she said).
Both Jim and Michael took to the highways tonight in the name of love. But while one relationship is perhaps stronger for the road trip, one landed in the breakdown breakup lane.

And what better way to celebrate the release of the DVD then to look back at some of the best moments of the past season. Although it was no easy task, I chose my favorite moment from each this past season’s episodes to share with you. And no, Jim’s shirtless scene didn’t make the cut (surprised? so am I!).
To enter: It’s simple and fun (that’s what she said). Share your favorite moment from Season 4 of THE OFFICE and you are automatically entered to win. A random winner will be chosen from all the valid entries. Please make sure that the email address you provide is valid so I can contact you if you are the winner.
FUN RUN
Kevin: Are you kidding me? Pam and Jim are totally hooking up
The wait was over. Jim & Pam were finally revealed as a couple and life has been good ever since. I was in Cali watching this episode with my friends K, K & J and I remember being so happy that my show was back. Little did we know the crazy season we were in for with the WGA strike, Ryan the douchebag, Toby the creepy perv and the demise of Dwangela, among so many other great things.
Kelly: I hope you’re still committed, because I’m pregnant. And guess what, buddy. I am keeping it. [cut to Kelly shaking her head no]
This is right up there in my top moments of S4 of THE OFFICE. Kelly shaking her head no was so pitch perfect that I am still laughing today just thinking about it. And this isn’t the last of Kelly Kapoor that you’re going to see on this list (but this video is some of the best Kelly Kapoor moments ever)

Amy Ryan Logging in More OFFICE Hours
June 30, 2008 by Kath Skerry
File this one in the ‘good news’ folder.
Academy Award nominee, Amy Ryan, is going to be hanging around the Dunder Mifflin offices for a little while longer when THE OFFICE returns in the Fall. Ryan guested in last season’s finale as Holly Flax, the new HR rep who took over for Toby Flenderson when he decided to spend more time on the beautiful beaches of Costa Rica (also know as the writer’s room of THE OFFICE). And now according to Variety, Amy Ryan has signed on for at least 5 more episodes when the show returns to NBC in the Fall.
A shoe-in for the Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Star in a Comedy Series, Amy Ryan fit in so perfectly with the show and the craziness that is Dunder Mifflin that it was almost scary. Fans, who haven’t always taken kindly to new people joining the show (remember the brouhaha when it was announced that Ed Helms and Rashida Jones were coming on board?), immediately took to Ryan’s character who was set up as a possible love interest for Michael Scott.
Let’s hope that the peeps over in Van Nuys can woo Ms. Ryan to staying a bit longer than five episodes. It could happen. If you remember, Helms and Jones were only slated for a handful of episodes initially too, and look what happened with that.
If I didn’t say it before, please let me say it know…welcome to THE OFFICE community, Ms. Ryan.
Upfront ’08 Memories – Meeting the Cast of THE OFFICE

Filed under BJ Novak, Brian Baumgartner, Creed Bratton, Dwight Schrute, Ed Helms, GMMR Exclusives, Jenna Fischer, Jim Halpert, John Krasinski, Kate Flannery, Leslie David Baker, Michael Scott, Mindy Kaling, Network Upfronts, Oscar Nunez, Pam Beesly, Phyllis Smith, Rainn Wilson, Steve Carell, The Office, TV News
As I continue to stroll down memory lane of the Upfronts ’08, there’s no way I can talk about my week without talking about getting to see the cast of my favorite show, THE OFFICE.
Yes, I was lucky enough to meet the cast last year, but it really doesn’t matter. I still get just as excited about seeing the collective group that make me laugh out loud every Thursday (ok and every Tuesday if we are talking TBS reruns). Just being near them I had this stupid smile on my face (as seen in the pictures below).
Now the weird thing about the Upfronts is that the stars are just kind of hanging out. They’re walking around and talking with friends, and such was the case with the cast of THE OFFICE. The first cast member I spotted was Oscar Nunez, who was sitting on a bench chatting it up with Sendhil Ramamurthy (Mohinder from ‘Heroes’). That’s when the excitement kicked in. Dunder Mifflin was in the house. After seeing Oscar, it seemed everywhere I looked there was a DMer. First Mindy Kaling, then B.J. Novak. I spotted Phyllis Smith and Leslie David Baker and then the lovely Kate Flannery. Next thing you know they were all there getting settled on the big white couch.
As the cast was one of the biggest draws at the event, there was a designated area where fans could take pictures. The line started 45 minutes before the cast even arrived.
The cast members in attendance were: Ed Helms, Leslie David Baker, Phyllis Smith, Rainn Wilson, Paul Lieberstein, Craig Robinson, Jenna Fischer, Brian Baumgartner, Oscar Nunez, Kate Flannery, John Krasinski, Creed Bratton, Mindy Kaling and B.J. Novak. Steve Carell was there for the press line but he was busy rehearsing for SNL across the street. Oh and as much as I would like spinoff casting rumors, no Scott Adsit (Pete, 30 Rock) isn’t joining the cast…he just snuck in for this picture.
So here are a few pictures that I snagged that night. It’s always so surreal to be able to talk to your favorite performers up close and personal. And although it’s been said by me and countless others, the cast of THE OFFICE are genuinely nice people. Based on the smiles and laughter, they truly enjoy each other’s company, and the couldn’t have been any nicer to any of the fans who waited around for their chanced to interact with the cast of their favorite show.

TV Stars Every Which Way You Look at the NBC Upfronts

It’s going to be a bit before I’m able to upload my pictures from last night’s NBC Upfront party, but I thought I would share a few of the highlights and set the scene.
Because NBC already had revealed their 2008-09 primetime schedule a few weeks ago, they didn’t have their traditional Upfront presentation. This year it was more of a sensory experience. We entered Rockefeller Center and walked into the NBC Experience. As we made our way through we were greeted with videos, artwork and even the Deal or No Deal ladies sharing the story of next year’s primetime schedule. It was a lot to take in, but not a bad way to spend some time in line.
The next part of the experience was TV come to life. The cooks from TOP CHEF were making appetizers, Janice Dickenson from THE JANICE DICKENSON MODELING AGENCY was taking glamour shots with us as we walked through. The gladiators from AMERICAN GLADIATORS were jousting each other (and from what I hear, the party goers as well). There were a lot of fun kiosks where we could pick up buttons (a few I snagged as a future giveaway), get our pictures taken as if we were in the cast of our favorite shows (which I can’t wait to show you), and even get mini footballs signed by the NBC NFL guys (I got one for my Dad). A great time. And did I mention this was all before we entered the party? Yup.
The party itself was insane. Much more crowded than last year, but a lot more celeb sightings. It’s kind of strange to be having a drink with your friend, just chatting it up and then brushing shoulders with Christian Slater or Kyle Chandler as they walked by. Very surreal. A few of my favorite celebrity sightings:

Ask (and a record number of you did) and you shall received. The L.A. premiere of LEATHERHEADS was tonight and the film’s stars George Clooney, Renee Zellweger and our very own John Krasinski were all there, all looking quite dapper I may add. Here are some pics of Mr. Krasinski (as well as a few of his co-stars from the big and small screen) from tonight’s red carpet (and yes I’m still on the lookout of the money shot featuring John and George). Enjoy the eye candy.

The Cast of THE OFFICE an the 2008 SAG Awards

By far the best moment of this year’s SAG Awards was when the cast of THE OFFICE, my very favorite show on television, took home the award for Outstanding Cast in an Ensemble Series (Comedy). It was a pleasant surprise and I think the cast was a bit surprised as well.
Here are some pics from the cast of THE OFFICE on the red carpet on last night’s SAG Awards. I’m having MAJOR technical difficulties today which is precluding me from sharing the ton of photos I have of the cast from last night. I figure something was better than nothing, but I do sincerely apologize and hope to have the rest up soon.
Congrats once again to this fabulous group of actors: Steve Carell, Rainn Wilson, Jenna Fischer, John Krasinski, Angela Kinsey, Ed Helms, Brian Baumgartner, Oscar Nunez, Phyllis Smith, Leslie David Baker, Kate Flannery, Creed Bratton, BJ Novak, Paul Lieberstein, Mindy Kaling, Melora Hardin and Craig Robinson. We miss you and can’t wait to see you (in non-reruns) soon!
THE OFFICE Cast – Red Carpet Arrivals….
THE OFFICE – Live from the Red Carpet
The video isn’t great, but hopefully it will serve a purpose until better quality videos are available.
Video #1: Ed Helms, BJ Novak, Jenna Fischer, Kate Flannery, Angela Kinsey, Brian Baumgartner and John Krasinski in various red carpet moments from last night’s SAG Awards
Video #2: John Krasinski talks to TV Guide’s Lisa Rinna on the red carpet (not sure how he kept his eyes on her face and not her inappropriate cleavage…nice job, John)
More pics from the ceremony and after party will be available once I figure out a way to beat this blog into an inch of its life and get things working again.

Celebrity New Year’s Resolutions

While I’m making resolutions to perhaps exercise more in the new year, save a little bit more money, obsess a tad less on a tall, lanky man that will never love me back the way he loves Pam, and watch a bit less TV (nah, just joking on the last one), celebrities are out there making good, solid resolutions. Ah, to be a celeb.
Check out this video and see what stars like Will Ferrel, Mila Kunis, and Ed Helms are hoping to do in ’08.
THE OFFICE Thursday on Give Me My Remote

It’s the day we’ve all been waiting for – The season 4 premiere of THE OFFICE. Can you feel the excitement in the air? Is it 9pm yet? I’m counting down the minutes!!
Since it’s Thursday I guess it means it’s THE OFFICE Thursday on GiveMeMyRemote. With the new season comes new changes. Jan leaving Corporate, Jim asking out Pam…it’s only natural that things change over time. So with that I thought I would change up Office Thursday just a bit in the new season. Here’s the deal…if you love The Office enough to care about Office Thursday on GMMR then you probably take the time to check out OfficeTally.com during the week. And if you do then you are probably caught up on the latest Office news and gossip. So rather than post all the info here, I thought we could make Office Thursdays a little more about the true Dunder Mifflinites – YOU. As you’ll see we’re still going to be talking Office gossip, but I thought maybe this could be a forum for you to talk about your favorite show. So let’s get to it…
Tonight on The Office…
“Fun Run” | 9/8c on NBC | 1-hour episode
A freak accident causes Michael to feel the office is cursed. He explores the religious beliefs of his employees before deciding to hold a charity 5K fun run. Meanwhile, further developments in the romances of Pam and Jim and Dwight and Angela are explored. (Pics | watch 6 clips from tonight’s episode)
Set the TiVos…
- LIVE! Blogging with Greg Daniels | Tonight 10pm EST on NBC.com
- Ed Helms on Late Night with Conan O’Brien | Tonight 12:35 on NBC.com
- Angela Kinsey on The Late Show with David Letterman|Friday, Oct. 5th @ 11:35pm
LIVE! Office Chat…
After much debate I’ve decided to bring back the Buddy TV LIVE! Office chat for viewers on the East Coast. Come and watch the show along with fellow Office fans. Tonight is going to be a little interesting as I’m actually on the West Coast. I might not be able to stick around for much of the chat, but I’ve got some faithful Assistant to the Regional Managers that are going to help me out. The Office chat kicks off at 8:30pm EST…I hope you’ll join us. Click on the link below to set up a reminder or click here and search for The Office TVJ Session on BuddyTV.
From the Desk of Meredith Palmer…
Our favorite redhead is back this season with her weekly TV guide blog posts. This week Kate brings us behind-the-scenes on what award season is really like, the filming of “Fun Run” and some celebs that just happen to be Dunder Mifflinites at heart. (Read Kate’s blog)

Watch Kevin Malone sign his heart out [/nice]. I wonder if the same person that took this video also has footage of Ed Helms (Andy Bernard) as Ed and Kevin sang in their high school choir together. Yes, it’s a very small world over there in the Dunder Mifflin audience.

Thanks to Jo for the link and for reminding me the show was on. OfficeTally posted it earlier in the day but I completely blanked.

UPDATE: Oh holy hell…you people love this show!! I took the day off and just came home to over 500 comments. It’s so fun to read all your favorite moments of Season 3. I got a number of emails today asking what my favorite funny moment of S3 was, and as many of you said, it was hard to pick just one. But I guess I’m going to have to go with Andy’s talking head from “Traveling Salesman”. Just thinking about it makes me laugh.
“Oompa loompa, doompadee dossum, Dwight is now gone, which is totally awesome.”
Why was he gone, he was such a nice guy. No, he was not, he was a total douche. Doompadee doom.
I have a ton of great DVDs to giveaway over the next week so make sure you check back and each and everyday for a new contest. But for today, being that it’s Thursday and all, I think it’s only appropriate that I giveaway THE OFFICE Season 3 on DVD. I’ve got not one but TWO copies to giveaway today.
As you would expect, the DVDs are dawesome. So many deleted scenes (and so many more than what were posted on NBC.com), fantastic commentary and a hysterical blooper reel- and that doesn’t even scratch the surface of the DVD extras. Oh and did I mention John Krasinski is in his boxer briefs…no I’m not kidding!!
DVD Bonus Features:
• Over 3 hours of never-before-seen, hilarious deleted scenes.
• Over 16 minutes of laugh-out-loud bloopers.
• Eight cast commentaries on some of the most comical episodes.
• “Lazy Scranton” video.
• The Dwight Schrute music video.
• The creative videos from NBC’s “Make your own promo” contest.
• And so much more!
Want to Win?
To enter just leave a comment telling us what you thought was the single funniest moment of Season 3. Was there a scene, a line or a moment that just had you rolling? Let us know and BE SPECIFIC!!
Two winners will be chosen at random from all the comments. Please make sure the email address you provide is valid.
GOOD LUCK!!!
A few notes on the DVD commentaries after the jump. And if you don’t win, be sure to go out and buy THE OFFICE S3 on DVD when it hits stores September 4, 2007.

We are getting closer and closer to the season premiere of THE OFFICE. September 27th seems so far away, but it will be here before you know it. I’ve been marking down the days on my calendar (my Dunder Mifflin calendar).
As you know I’ve taken a break from THE OFFICE Thursday on GMMR this summer, but I thought I’d throw together a post today…just because. So let’s get to it.
Tonight on THE OFFICE…
The Negotiation (9/8c on NBC)
When Darryl (Craig Robinson) corners Michael about a pay increase, the meeting compels Michael to scrutinize his own salary. Meanwhile, Pam’s confession to Roy (David Denman) impacts Jim.
Happy Bird-day…
Birthday wishes go out to Steve Carell who is celebrating his birthday today and Phyllis Smith who had her big day yesterday. We hope you both had a wonderful day and wish you nothing but the best in the years to come. More importantly, I hope you both got great presents! Belated birthday wishes go out to B.J. Novak who celebrated his b-day on July 31st (although some of us celebrated his birthday on July 27th…ha ha ha)
A Dunder Mifflin Baby…
Congratulations to OFFICE writer/producer Michael Schur (aka Mose) and his wife J.J. Philbin who just announced that they are expecting their first child in February. The announcement was made this morning by Schur’s in-laws, Regis & Joy Philbin during Live with Regis and Kelly. I hear that the Schur’s produce very thirsty babies.
Dunder Mifflin Launches Website….
Ryan Bailey Howard just took his first step towards world domination with the launch of the new Dunder Mifflin Corporate website. Click around to learn more about the company, its people and shop around for DM merchandise.

Jenna Fischer in WALK HARD

Filed under Jenna Fischer, Pam Beesly, The Office, TV News
Check out the new trailer for Jenna Fischer‘s new biopic parody WALK HARD, written by Judd Apatow and Jake Kasdan. The stellar cast includes John C. Reilly, Kristen Wiig, Paul Rudd, Jack White and many more. And for you OFFICE fans, expect a few familiar faces to appear – Ed Helms and Craig Robinson also have roles in the film.
America loves Cox! But behind the music is the up-and-down-and-up-again story of Dewey Cox (John C. Reilly), a musician whose songs would change a nation. On his rock ‘n roll spiral, Cox sleeps with 411 women, marries three times, has 22 kids and 14 stepkids, stars in his own 70s TV show, collects friends ranging from Elvis to the Beatles to a chimp, and gets addicted to – and then kicks – every drug known to man… but despite it all, Cox grows into a national icon and eventually earns the love of a good woman – longtime backup singer Darlene (Jenna Fischer).
Jenna looks absolutely stunning in this movie, and I can’t wait to see it when it hits theaters on December 21, 2007.
