John Krasinski Named One of People’s Sexiest Men Alive

George Clooney might have taken home the honors for 2006 Sexiest Man Alive, but People Magazine named The Office’s John Kraisinski as one of the 15 Hottest Men in Hollywood!!! Damn straight he is.
This isn’t the first time John has made People’s list. In 2005 he was named Sexiest Newcomer. But now he’s up there with the big boys – Clooney, McDreamy, DiCaprio, Pitt, Gyllenhaal, and Krasinski. Just as it should be. And the way People has the top 15 men listed on their site, dare I say that John comes well before Brad Pitt. Nice!!
So why does People Magazine think John is so sexy? (Besides the hair, the eyes, the voice, the lankiness)?
Why He’s Sexy: He’s a real-life cut up. “Being funny is one of my greatest strengths. I can make girls smile when they’re down, and when we’re having a good time, I can carry on the joke.”
Last year, I asked John about the grief he caught from being featured in the 2005 issue.
HAHAHA!!! How did you know? It was the most amazing transformation in my friends. At first, they were just plain happy for me. I have the most unbelievably supportive group of friends. Then, once the cat was out of the bag, the hits started coming. And in the most hilarious ways too. Always subtle. (Playing basketball) “Ok, next point wins. You need a touch up on your makeup before we play?” (At a bar, when there is a huge crowd waiting for a drink) “Wow, I thought the bartender would have seen you’re sexiness and come over by now. Looks like you have a ways to go.”
I’m sure somewhere in NYC, John Krasinski is blushing right now. But for those of us who discovered John a loooooong time ago – it’s about time! And John, if you are reading this, um, I’m feeling a bit down today, so if you feel the need to make me smile…you know how to reach me

I think he is by far the sexiest guy on that list. In fact they can just scrap the other 14. But that’s just me. 🙂
Do you need me to do some reconn, Kath. Because it’s not like New York is a huuuge city or anything, and it’s not like I’m in grad school and have work, or anything–hell, my GPA is turning out to be pretty excellent, so I can stalk, I mean slack off a bit, right?

And it says he’s single! You know it’s true when People Magazine publishes it! 😉 But hey, I’ll take it either way!

Yummy. But while the picture is great, we all know we really find John’s intelligence the attractive attractive thing about him. And then we drool over him like a piece of meat again.
He’s got it all…
awesome SENSE OF HUMOR…well-balanced, not “on” all the time
INTELLIGENCE…smart, but not without common sense, able to have an in-depth discussion about something other than sports, intelligent and creative enough to challenge the way I think
SENSITIVE…comfortably in touch with his emotions, but still a “guy”…athletic, plays video games, etc.
LOOKS…not model sexy, but very attractive, gorgeous smile & beautiful teeth, TALL (yum!) and thin but with an athletic build (not skinny), sexy voice too!
CONFIDENCE…John carries himself so well…sometimes people who are tall will slouch if they are self-conscious…he is comfortable & confident with his humor and intelligence, but without being cocky & self-centered.
John Krasinski is one well-rounded guy! I would so love to be out with him and a group of his friends just to talk, laugh and have fun!

Kerry – Totally agree. Who cares about the other 14? Krasinski is by far the best looking and greatest guy out of all of them! He totally deserved it and it is about time people took notice of how awesome he is.
Holly – Wow. I could not agree more! You totally summed up everything that makes Krasinski great! What i love most about his looks is that he is the average guy. Don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying he’s plain in any way but he’s got a real geniune handsomeness about him that is different from other actors. Am i making any sense? I just see his great looks as something that surpasses a lot of actors who’s extreme “hottness” is just a little fake to me. He’s handsome for sure, and handsome is different from “hott” or “sexy”, although he is sexy. Plus, his all-around wonderful qualities just make him so much better. He’s got the whole package which a lot of those other actors in the top 15 lack. I would totally love to hang out w/ him, despite his good looks (but they’re a plus). He just would be such a fun person to hang out w/!
I was so happy to see that he was number nine, since I remember when he was like in the “up and coming” actor section, all the way to NINE!!! yay!! and I “knew” him when, all the way back to season one! lol….and now he has all these movies coming up and more people will fall head over heels, but we all knew of him way before, I am so proud! lol….
and tomorrow night??? Can’t come fast enough, that’s all I gotta say!

Forget all those other men. He should be above Clooney and the rest. Not only his looks but his incredible sense of humor that can make anyone laugh makes his personality the hottest out of the 15.
I love to see him ahead of Brad Pitt. What is he, 100 now? I’ve never understood the hype. And Clooney is okay, but it’s time to move on to the younger crowd. Long live Jim!
