EMERGENCE – A character-driven genre thriller, “Emergence” is about a police chief who takes in a young child she finds near the site of a mysterious accident who has no memory of what has happened. ABC released the first nine minutes of its new drama EMERGENCE at 3:10 AM on August 27. (The time has a significance for the show: 3:10 AM is when the events of the pilot kick off.)
In the Allison Tolman-led drama, her character, Jo, is a police chief who is drawn to a mysterious young child (Alexa Swinton) that she finds near an accident site. Per ABC, “The investigation draws Jo into a conspiracy larger than she ever imagined and the child’s identity is at the center of it all.”
The series, from writers Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters, also stars Owain Yeoman, Ashley Aufderheide, Robert Bailey Jr., Zabryna Guevara, Donald Faison, and Clancy Brown.
