Sometimes, there’s no keeping a good show down.
BROOKLYN NINE-NINE was canceled in May by Fox—as the network purged their live-action comedies—and social media exploded. Cut to two days later, the news broke that NBC had saved the beloved series. (NBC Universal produces the comedy.)
Now, the show is back and things are a bit different: the comedy is the same (the first two episodes are fantastic), but they’re allowed to do things like curse, with a bleep, and blur things…something they weren’t able to do on their previous network.
BROOKLYN NINE-NINE executive producer Dan Goor and series stars Andy Samberg (Jake), Andre Braugher (Holt), Melissa Fumero (Amy), Terry Crews (Terry), Chelsea Peretti (Gina), Stephanie Beatriz (Rosa), Joe Lo Truglio (Boyle), Dirk Blocker (Hitchcock), and Joel McKinnon Miller (Scully) spoke with reporters about the changes they’ve felt since they moved networks… Read more

One of the best things about SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE can be if the actors can’t quite keep it together during a sketch. Over the show’s 40 year run, it’s happened more than a few times, and for the brand new digital short during the series’ 40th anniversary celebration, former cast members Adam Sandler and Andy Samberg sang an ode to breaking…

Comments Off on 2014 Primetime Emmy Awards: Weird Al Yankovic Performs Show Themes for GAME OF THRONES, HOMELAND, SCANDAL, and More
So many great shows these days are sans proper theme songs (and if they do have songs, they’re often without lyrics), so at the 2014 Primetime Emmy Awards, Weird Al Yankovic did his best to remedy that: he came up with lyrics for the theme songs for MAD MEN, SCANDAL, HOMELAND, MODERN FAMILY, and GAME OF THRONES.
Check them out now, including a fun cameo by BROOKLYN NINE-NINE star Andy Samberg…

Comments Off on GMMR TV Awards: Favorite Actor (Comedy) – Vote Now!
After two weeks of Give Me My Remote readers nominating their television favorites from the past year, it’s time to vote for the 4th Annual GMMR TV Awards!
Most of the categories have five nominees, but due to ties, the number can vary. (And, as a reminder, each category can only have two nominees per show, so only the top two vote-getters from any particular series moved forward.)
Next up: “Favorite Actor (Comedy)”
Take a look at your nominees and then vote for your choice below!
