ARROW: Summer Glau to Recur
July 10, 2013 by Marisa Roffman

Given ARROW season 1’s fixture as one of the most genre-tastic guest star list on all of television, it’s only fitting that season 2 is kicking off the same way: a rep for the show confirms that Whedonverse (and TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES) alumna Summer Glau has landed a recurring role on ARROW.
According to The Huffington Post, Glau will play Isabel Rochev, a woman described as “enigmatically beautiful and professionally dangerous”…it seems Isabel is the VP of Aquisitions of Stellmoor International, a company that is looking to take over Oliver’s family’s company, Queen Consolidated. Yikes.
Additionally, Isabel does have history in the “Green Arrow” comics, but the ARROW writers have been fairly firm about telling their own story. Who knows what details might match up, though?
Are you excited for Glau to come on ARROW?

ARROW Season 1 Finale: Marc Guggenheim on the (Accidentally) Provocative Finale Title, Epic Confrontations, and More
May 15, 2013 by Marisa Roffman
ARROW has rarely pulled any punches in its first season, but even with that knowledge, seeing that the first season finale was titled “Sacrifice” was more than a bit chilling — a reaction that wasn’t exactly intended.
“I didn’t realize — and I don’t think [fellow ARROW executive producers] Andrew [Kreisberg] or Greg [Berlanti] did either — what a provocative name for an episode that would be,” ARROW executive producer Marc Guggenheim admitted. “The truth is we wanted to pick a name for the title that reflected the theme of the episode. And the theme of the episode is sacrifice. In fact, we were joking in the editing room the other day that if you take a shot every time the word sacrifice or its derivative is spoken in the finale, you will be drunk by the time Act One ends; [episode] 23 comes with its own brand new ARROW drinking game!”
In all seriousness, some crazy things are about to go down.
ARROW: Marc Guggenheim on the Bomb-Dropping, Decision-Filled Penultimate Episode

ARROW has rarely played it safe, and it seems like the tension and danger that has often permeated the show is about to explode in a massive way.
I spoke with ARROW executive producer Marc Guggenheim about making essentially two finales, Oliver getting unbalanced by his mother’s true intentions, Roy’s quest, Laurel and Thea’s decisions, and more…

There may be two episodes left of ARROW’s freshman season, but by all accounts, you’re not going to want to miss one moment of either hour.
The latest to praise just how epic they are? Emily Bett Rickards (Felicity).
Take a look at what she had to say about “Darkness on the Edge of Town” and “Sacrifice,” plus some praise for the excellent ARROW writers…

While a good number of people are aware of what Oliver has been up to in the first season of ARROW, there are a whole lot of people who are hiding their true motivations/actions from him.
But, it seems, that might be changing soon.
When ARROW star Stephen Amell (Oliver) talked with reporters recently, he shared that the final episodes of the season leads to situations where the facades “melt away” due to other circumstances.

We’re in the middle of another ARROW hiatus, but the end is near: The CW hit will return on Wednesday, April 24th with the first of four brand new episodes. Making it even more tense/exciting? They’re the final four episodes of ARROW’s first season!
I had the chance to sit down with ARROW fan-favorite Emily Bett Rickards (Felicity) earlier this week, and during our chat, she teased a bit about the tension coming for the trio of Oliver/Diggle/Felicity, and dished on having to say those “subconscious blurts.”

SCANDAL has nabbed yet another awesome guest star: ABC has confirmed that TORCHWOOD star (and current ARROW big bad) John Barrowman will appear in an upcoming episode.
While details of his role are being kept on the down low for now, SCANDAL creator Shonda Rhimes tweeted her joy about the casting earlier this afternoon: “John Barrowman is here working at @ScandalABC today. Life is good. #torchwood #captainjack #iamanerd”
Barrowman is set to appear in the May 9th episode of SCANDAL.
I mean…how great is this casting?!

The Cast and Producer of ARROW Tease ‘Unfinished Business’
April 3, 2013 by Marisa Roffman
Tonight’s ARROW is a pretty freaking big hour of television: in addition to the return of Seth Gabel’s The Count (who, during his last stint on the show, was the manufacturer of the drug, Vertigo…AKA the drug Thea was on when she wrecked her car), there’s the question of whether Tommy is up to some shady dealings, and in the flashbacks, Oliver begins his training with Shado.
But you’d like a few more teases about what goes down, wouldn’t you? Before this weekend’s WonderCon panel for the show, ARROW executive producer Marc Guggenheim and series stars Stephen Amell (Oliver), Colin Donnell (Tommy), Willa Holland (Thea), and Paul Blackthorne (Detective Lance) previewed what fans can expect from tonight’s brand new episode…

When Seth Gabel’s The Count was last seen on ARROW, he was captured, his grand plans seemingly thwarted by the cops. But he won’t be gone for long.
Take a look at some photos of Gabel’s return in “Unfinished Business”…

ARROW Ups Manu Bennett to Series Regular
March 20, 2013 by Marisa Roffman
ARROW has promoted another actor — a Warner Bros. rep confirms that Manu Bennett (Slade Wilson) will return for the upcoming second season as a series regular. The Hollywood Reporter was first to break the news.
Bennett has appeared in a handful of episodes in the show’s freshman run so far, and at this point, has only appeared in flashbacks to Oliver’s time on the island. Of course, there’s also the lingering question as to whether Bennett’s Slade Wilson will ultimately morph into the villain Deathstroke — who held quite the grudge against Oliver in the comics.
Are you excited to get more Manu Bennett in ARROW’s second year?

ARROW: Colin Donnell Teases Tommy’s Tension with Oliver, Absence for Laurel, and More
March 19, 2013 by Marisa Roffman
After a long (painful) mini-hiatus, ARROW returns with a brand new episode Wednesday night. And while viewers might be delighted to have the series back, things aren’t looking so hot for Oliver: he was forced to reveal to his best friend, Tommy, that he was The Hood, and now that friendship is floundering.
And it seems like things won’t be improving any time soon.
I spoke with ARROW star Colin Donnell (Tommy) about the multi-layered betrayal, how that impacts Tommy’s relationship with the people around him, and more…
ARROW Ups Colton Haynes to Series Regular
March 13, 2013 by Marisa Roffman

Get ready for more Roy Harper on ARROW: reps for the show confirm that Colton Haynes (Roy) will be a series regular in the show’s upcoming second season. (He’ll remain recurring for the final batch of season 1 episodes.)
This news comes less than a month after Haynes made his ARROW debut. But with all the storylines he’s a part of (romance with Thea, potentially evolving into Speedy, etc.), it makes sense the ARROW producers would want to lock him down for the foreseeable future.
Are you excited to see more Roy Harper on ARROW?
