The last few episodes of CASTLE have been on the lighter side, but things take a drastic turn in next week’s hour, “In the Belly of the Beast”: a (relatively) simple request for Beckett spirals into something much, much worse.

“It’s an intense episode that puts Beckett into a very dangerous situation, unexpectedly,” CASTLE creator Andrew Marlowe previewed. “She has to use her wits to survive. And it brings us back into contact with some old friends.”

Comments Off on CASTLE: ‘Limelight’ Photo Preview

Late last year, CASTLE creator Andrew Marlowe shared a little tease about a case that examined what the spotlight does to people: “It puts Castle and Beckett in a world in which the spotlight is very bright. And [we examine] what it does to people. And I think it makes Beckett reflect on what it means to be with a guy who is in the public eye. So that’s really fun.”

And now we have some photos from the hour, “Limelight.” Take a look at what you can expect…

There’s a brand new episode of CASTLE tonight! (It’s nice to be in the middle of a solid, repeat-free run, huh?)

To get a little tease of what will be coming up in the foreseeable future, I spoke with CASTLE creator Andrew Marlowe about weddings, births, babies, the show’s future, and more…

When I asked CASTLE creator Andrew Marlowe to tease tonight’s brand new episode of his show, he was able to sum it up quite simply: “It’s awesome.”

Of course, I had to prod him for a little more info than that.

CASTLE: Molly Quinn on ‘Like Father, Like Daughter,’ the Tension Between Alexis and Castle, and More

CASTLE’s Alexis is going through a bit of a hard time with her father right now, which makes this Monday’s episode all the more awkward for her: as their personal life is hitting a bump, she needs Castle and the rest of his NYPD buddies to help her prove that a man on death row is actually innocent. And the kicker? They only have 72 hours to do it.

I spoke with CASTLE’s Molly Quinn about the Alexis/Castle rift, Alexis’ quest to save the death row inmate, where Alexis stands with Beckett, and more…

CASTLE: Andrew Marlowe Offers a Little Tease For Episode 11

October 31, 2013 by

Before CASTLE’s sixth season kicked off, series creator Andrew Marlowe acknowledged the show would “absolutely have to deal with” the realities of how people outside of Castle and Beckett’s immediate world view their relationship. (The price of dating a famous author, I suppose.) And based on what he told me about the episode they’re just starting to film, it seems like that moment might be around the corner.

CASTLE: Lisa Edelstein Teases Her Arc

September 17, 2013 by

As has been mentioned before, there is very, very, very little that can be said about CASTLE’s premiere without spoiling too much of what goes down (not to mention ruin the two big cliffhangers the show has set up). But there’s also a fascinating new character, McCord (played by former HOUSE star Lisa Edelstein), who is joining the show for a multi-episode arc, and I really wanted to talk a little bit more about her.

So, thankfully, Edelstein was game to dodge the potential spoiler bombs with me and discuss joining the show, her character, and more…

CASTLE: Andrew Marlowe Teases the Castle and Beckett Dynamic in Season 6

August 19, 2013 by

It’s not exactly the easiest thing to tease what’s to come in CASTLE season 6.

Sure, CASTLE is not the only finale to have a massive cliffhanger to end the season, but it is in the curious position of having both of its big, unanswered questions so intrinsically intertwined with the core dynamic of the show that it makes answering anything about what’s to come a big, fat spoiler.

So when I spoke with CASTLE creator Andrew Marlowe about what was to come for Castle and Beckett in season 6, there was some vagueness, there were some hypotheticals, but, hopefully, there’s also enough of a tease of what’s to come for the duo that it’ll have you counting down the moments until the show’s season premiere…

CASTLE: Andrew Marlowe on the ‘Personal Stakes’ in the Two-Parter, and More

February 17, 2013 by

CASTLE’s annual two-part arc kicks off on Monday, and instead of things being deadly on a grand scale, the stakes are much more personal for Castle — his daughter, Alexis, has been kidnapped.

I spoke with CASTLE creator Andrew Marlowe about taking this step (and why they could only do it once), how everyone else will be reacting to the close-to-home case, the future of 3XK on the show, whether Beckett might say “I love you soon,” and more…

CASTLE’s Darby Stanchfield Teases Meredith’s Return: ‘She Opens a Whole Other Can of Worms’

January 3, 2013 by

CASTLE fans, look out: Deep Fried Twinkie (AKA Meredith, Castle’s first ex-wife) is back!

With Alexis sick, her mother decides now would be a good time to visit — and as such, she ends up staying at Castle’s place when Beckett is also there (due to B’s apartment renovations). As you can imagine, things are going to get a bit difficult for a certain ruggedly handsome author.

To find out how bad things are going to get, I spoke with Darby Stanchfield (Meredith) — who is also currently starring on SCANDAL as Abby — about her character’s return, stirring up trouble, and more…

CASTLE: ‘Significant Others’ Photo Preview — Beckett, Meredith, and Alexis Crash with Castle

Oh, poor Castle.

In the January 7, 2013 episode of CASTLE, our favorite ruggedly handsome writer is going to have his hands — and his home — full as a sick Alexis comes to stay with him, which prompts her mama, Meredith, to temporarily move in, too. Adding to the trouble? Beckett’s staying over, too.

Yeah, he’s going to have his hands full.

Take a look at some photos from “Significant Others”…
