BONES is back on March 26th, and the team investigates the death of a psychic…whose remains were found in the trunk of a tree.
And, naturally, with a connection to the psychic world, Avalon (Cyndi Lauper) pops back up. (She also has a special message from Sweets.)

BONES: The Stars and Creator Share Which Episodes You Should Watch to Survive the Hiatus

BONES has been off the air since its 200th episode aired in December, and there are still a few more weeks until the show returns.
To help fans pass the time, the cast (BONES stars Emily Deschanel, TJ Thyne, Tamara Taylor, and Pej Vahdat) as well as creator Hart Hanson weighed in on which episodes they’d like you to rewatch during the hiatus…

Red carpets can be a bit of a madhouse as talent, reporters, and publicists/managers, etc. squeeze into a relatively confined space. (Not a complaint — it’s actually often fun — but things can be a bit crazy.)
Which brings us to BONES’ 200th episode celebration.
There was nothing, really, abnormal about the carpet, but there were a lot of people there, and it was fairly easy for people to approach you without you noticing. And while I was interviewing Eugene Byrd (Clark) and Michael Grant Terry (Wendell), their co-star, Pej Vahdat (Arastoo), realized this was a good opportunity for him to ask them a few of his burning questions, and he snuck up on us and hilariously crashed the interview. (Which is probably fair payback for Byrd video-bombing Terry and Vahdat on the set of BONES.)

Comments Off on Marisa’s Top 14 Episodes of 2014
For my top episodes of the year, I did something different this year: I didn’t let myself choose anything from my top shows of 2014. There are certainly shows there that could (and maybe should) have installments listed here, but considering how much television I watch, I wanted to expand the field of shows versus just going over (again) why I loved the top shows.
The following episodes aren’t ranked (they’re listed alphabetically), but I did note which one would have been number one if I had gone that route…
And have you seen Sarah and Kelly’s lists, too? Check out Sarah’s top shows and top episodes, as well as Kelly’s top shows and top episodes.
What was your favorite show this year?

BONES’ Jonathan Collier on the Show’s Next Serial Killer: ‘This One You Don’t See Coming’
December 16, 2014 by Marisa Roffman
BONES has taken on many serial killers during the show’s run, but since the show unraveled the FBI conspiracy earlier this season (following Sweets’ death), there hasn’t been one longer-running baddie the team has had to focus on trying to stop.
But that’s going to change soon.
When the show returns in 2015 there will be a lot of things in store, as executive producer Jonathan Collier teased in the video below, and one of the big things is a new serial killer fans won’t see coming.
Check out the video below for more from Collier!

BONES celebrated its 200th episode last week (for all the coverage on that, check here!), and the actors got to go a little out of their comfort zone as they played characters who were investigating a murder in the 1950s.
So what was BONES star Emily Deschanel’s (Brennan) favorite part of filming “The 200th in the 10th”? Take a look…

BONES Episode 200 Recap: ‘The 200th in the 10th’
December 11, 2014 by Sarah Curtis
Hello BONES fans! Happy 200th episode to everyone involved!
The show used a slightly different approach in their David Boreanaz (excellently) directed “200th in the 10th” episode, so I will also be straying from my usual review formula of re-capping the events of the episode and instead will share more from the heart. If you haven’t seen the episode yet — watch it! I thought it was gorgeously done. The music and set were luscious, and the plot was creative and fun.
The episode began with Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz alive in the 1950s and arriving at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre to immortalize their fame, and it transitioned to them entering the theater to view their new movie, “Bones.” As the curtains parted, the “movie” began, and for the next 40+ minutes, we were swept into a clever interpretation of the standard BONES format — each character appeared and (for the most part) maintained some characteristics from his/her modern day counterparts. And of course there was intrigue & innuendo, murder &motives, bones & beetles…and ultimately justice. And so much more!
BONES Composer Sean Callery Talks Scoring ‘The 200th in the 10th’

Comments Off on BONES Composer Sean Callery Talks Scoring ‘The 200th in the 10th’
BONES’ 200th episode is taking the show to a place it has never gone before: Hollywood in the 1950s.
The show dove into the era in “The 200th in the 10th,” with the stars in the appropriate hair/clothes/makeup, and the way the show is shot even resembles some of the more iconic 1950s movies. And, appropriately, the score reflects the time, too, and composer Sean Callery (who has also worked on 24, HOMELAND, and ELEMENTARY) got to do something new for the show — he worked with a live band.
I spoke with Callery about working on this episode, and what aspects of the score he’s most excited for fans to hear…

BONES’ 200th episode is airing this Thursday, and as Fox Television Group Chairman and CEO Gary Newman pointed out during an on-set celebration, it’s one of only a few Fox shows to reach that incredible milestone.
To celebrate how far Team BONES has come, I asked the cast and producers for their first memories of working on the series. Check out what BONES creator Hart Hanson, executive producer Stephen Nathan, as well as stars David Boreanaz (Booth), Emily Deschanel (Brennan), Michaela Conlin (Angela), TJ Thyne (Hodgins), Tamara Taylor (Cam), John Boyd (Aubrey), Carla Gallo (Daisy), Eugene Byrd (Clark), Michael Grant Terry (Wendell), Pej Vahdat (Arastoo), Laura Spencer (Jessica), Ignacio Serricchio (Fuentes), and Cyndi Lauper (Avalon) had to share…

BONES is telling a different kind of story for its 200th episode — sure, a body is discovered, but the episode is set in Hollywood in the 1950s, and Brennan is a cop, while Booth is a jewel thief.
And since the hour is bringing back a lot of familiar faces, I asked BONES executive producers Stephen Nathan and Jonathan Collier, as well as stars David Boreanaz (Booth), Emily Deschanel (Brennan), Michaela Conlin (Angela), TJ Thyne (Hodgins), Tamara Taylor (Cam), John Boyd (Aubrey), Carla Gallo (Daisy), Eugene Byrd (Clark), Michael Grant Terry (Wendell), Pej Vahdat (Arastoo), Laura Spencer (Jessica), and Ignacio Serricchio (Fuentes) for their best teases about the hour…

BONES: Stephen Nathan on a Possible Season 11 and Whether They’ll Write in Emily Deschanel’s Pregnancy
December 8, 2014 by Marisa Roffman
BONES is about to celebrate its milestone 200th episode this week, and the people associated with the show are hoping there will continue to be life in the Fox drama beyond this year.
“All indications are that there probably will be [another season], but you never know until you know for a fact,” BONES executive producer Stephen Nathan told reporters on a conference call today. “We’re just going to keep moving forward, and I know [BONES creator] Hart [Hanson] and I have talked about this before. If we have to end it, we’ll end it. But it doesn’t seem like it’s ready to end.”
“10 seasons, what at the beginning was an inconceivable thought…when in the first 13 [episodes], we weren’t even sure if we’d have enough stories [for those],” he continued. “Here we are 200 episode later. The show has a lot of life in it. The show is not boring to do. We come in going, ‘We could do this or this.’ Which is remarkable in itself.”
As for what may (or may not) end up on the show, Nathan acknowledged that the writers are still debating whether to write BONES star Emily Deschanel’s real-life pregnancy into the show.

BONES star David Boreanaz (Booth) has become the Fox drama’s go-to director for some of the show’s biggest hours, so, naturally, he stepped behind the camera again for the upcoming 200th episode, “The 200th in the 10th.”
And while director-actors always have their work cut out for them, the 200th episode posed a different kind of technical challenge since it’s set in the 1950s. I spoke with Boreanaz about what he did differently this time around…
