It’s a BREAKING BAD movie, bitch! (Sorry, had to.)
EL CAMINO: A BREAKING BAD MOVIE will bow on Friday, October 11, Netflix announced.
While much of the details have been kept closely underwrap, the film follows Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) after the events of the series finale. Per Netflix, “In the wake of his dramatic escape from captivity, Jesse must come to terms with his past in order to forge some kind of future.” The film was written/directed by series creator Vince Gilligan.
Check out the date announcement (which includes another familiar face) and the gorgeous poster for the film… Read more

Anna Gunn Reflects on Her THE MINDY PROJECT Guest Spot and Whether She’d Be Up to Return

Comments Off on Anna Gunn Reflects on Her THE MINDY PROJECT Guest Spot and Whether She’d Be Up to Return
Anna Gunn has done her share of dramatic projects on television recently — her next project is the haunting Fox event series, GRACEPOINT, an adaptation of the BBC series, BROADCHURCH, and before that, she spent five seasons (and won a couple of Emmys) as Skyler White on BREAKING BAD — but one of her the lighter spots she did this year was a guest spot on THE MINDY PROJECT’s second season as Sheila Hamilton, a doctor who tried to poach Mindy.
And while THE MINDY PROJECT showrunner Matt Warburton told me earlier this year he’d love to have Gunn back on the show, so far, there’s been no word about whether she will pop up for the show’s third season. So when I spoke with Gunn about GRACEPOINT on Monday (and check back for that chat soon!), I couldn’t resist asking her about her time on the show, and whether she’d be willing to come back…

After weeks of nominations and voting, you have determined who should take home the fourth annual Give Me My Remote TV Awards!
Before we get to the winners, I want thank everyone who participated in our annual contest. Without your nominations and votes, it would just simply be me saying what I loved the most, and what fun is that? (And in case you think your vote might not have made a difference, while most winners won by hundreds — or thousands — of votes, one category was won by TWO votes.)
Which also means this is a good time to remind you that these winners are 100% decided by you, the Give Me My Remote readers, and some fan bases came out in droves (and mounted really impressive campaigns). Comments Off on GMMR TV Awards: Best Series Finale (Planned) – Vote Now!
After two weeks of Give Me My Remote readers nominating their television favorites from the past year, it’s time to vote for the 4th Annual GMMR TV Awards!
Most of the categories have five nominees, but due to ties, the number can vary. (And, as a reminder, each category can only have two nominees per show, so only the top two vote-getters from any particular series moved forward.)
Next up: “Best Series Finale (Planned).”
Take a look at your nominees and then vote for your choice below!

Comments Off on BATTLE CREEK on CBS – First Look
BREAKING BAD creator Vince Gilligan first developed BATTLE CREEK over a decade ago, and now, CBS is putting the series on the air at some point in 2015. (And they brought on HOUSE creator David Shore to run BC.)
Check out some photos from the series, the network’s official description, and hopefully a trailer soon…
BATTLE CREEK
âÂÂPilotâ -- BATTLE CREEK stars Josh Duhamel and Dean Winters in a drama about two mismatched law enforcement officers whose polar opposite views of the world and crime-solving breed frustration, disdain, humor and possibly a grudging respect as they team together to clean up the hardscrabble streets of Battle Creek, Michigan. Top 13 TV Shows of 2013

As I said in my top television episodes post, there is a lot of great television on right now. And what hit me as I was compiling this list was that an incredible amount of newbies came out of the gate amazing — in fact, the differences in my list from last year to this year is a bit unreal.
Before we get to the list, the normal disclaimer: I may watch an unholy amount of television (it was probably close to 100 series this year), but I don’t watch everything. Which means, I’m still behind on JUSTIFIED, THE GOOD WIFE, ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK, and I still haven’t brought myself to watch GAME OF THRONES. It’s possible if they were in the mix, my list would look different. But for now, until we can invent a time-pausing machine, we’ll work with what I can watch.
These are my top shows of 2013…
Okay, I’ve had my say, now it’s your turn: is there a show you think should be on the list? Is there a show you think is too high/low ranked?

Top 13 TV Episodes of 2013
December 20, 2013 by Marisa Roffman

It’s no secret I watch a lot of TV. Heck, I watch more TV than I should probably ever admit. But there is a lot, lot, lot of good stuff on television — and now, increasingly, through other mediums like Netflix, Amazon, etc. It’s a good time to love quality programming.
As we approach the end of the year, I wanted to note a few of the shows that stood out to me over the past 12 months. First up, we have the top episodes. For me, they were the most enjoyable as a television fan. You may agree with some, all, or none. You may be like me and have your top episodes change 20 times. (Only a slight exaggeration, but I easily could have singled out 25 great episodes this season. Or 50.)
So, these are the 13 hours of television that stuck out to me the most this past year, in alphabetical order of series…
(And yes, I’ll have a top shows post coming up shortly.)
Agree? Disagree? Think a specific episode is missing?

Comments Off on Backstage at the 2013 Emmy Awards: Reactions from the Winners
Sure, you saw the touching — or weird — Emmy speeches during the live broadcast last night, but oftentimes the real fun (and the strangest comments) come when the winners come backstage and speak with the press.
Take a look what many of last night’s winners had to say, including a winner who took the time to plug another show, a (fake) 30 ROCK reunion pitch, weird Emmy statues plans, and more…
