BROOKLYN NINE-NINE is shaking things up when the show returns for its third season.
The show’s sophomore season ended with two sizable shifts — Holt was “promoted” and now is working at the NYPD Public Relations department (and a new captain has been brought in for the Nine-Nine); and after two seasons of dancing around their feelings for each other (occasionally, literally), Jake and Amy shared a real kiss, after locking lips a couple of times for a case.
With so many changes afoot — and some more temporary than others — I spoke with BROOKLYN NINE-NINE boss Dan Goor about what’s in store for the Fox comedy this season…

Comments Off on BROOKLYN NINE-NINE: Mary Lynn Rajskub to Guest Star
BROOKLYN NINE-NINE is adding to its guest star roster: 24 star Mary Lynn Rajskub is dropping by for the third season premiere, Fox announced.
Rajskub will play Genevieve, “a successful art gallery owner whom Charles (Joe Lo Truglio) thinks might be his soulmate.” (So far, it’s shaping up to be a busy love season for Charles Boyle — Archie Panjabi is appearing in the second episode as an officer who is also interested in Boyle.)
In addition to Rajskub’s six seasons and one event series playing Chloe on 24, she’s also appeared on CALIFORNICATION and 2 BROKE GIRLS.
Are you excited to see Rajskub on BROOKLYN NINE-NINE?

BROOKLYN NINE-NINE Boss Dan Goor Teases Season 2

BROOKLYN NINE-NINE had a number of cliffhangers when its first season concluded — Jake confessed his feelings for Amy he before went undercover with the mob, and Gina and Boyle ended up in bed together — but when the show returns, B99 co-creator Dan Goor joked that the comedy would take a morbid twist: “Everyone dies!”
And while Goor was teasing with that particular spoiler, he was able to say a little bit more about whether there will be a time jump when the show picks up in season 2, and what comes next…

While most first-year comedies often take a bit of time to find their footing, BROOKLYN NINE-NINE was an oddity: from the show’s very first episode, the series felt completely secure in itself and the world it had built. The result? BROOKLYN NINE-NINE was consistently one of the best — and most hilarious — shows on television. (And on top of two Golden Globe wins — including Best TV Series, Comedy — the show has also been picked up early for a second season.)
On the eve of the show’s first season finale, I spoke with series star Melissa Fumero (Amy) about BROOKLYN NINE-NINE’s breakout year, what fans can expect in the finale, and more…
