CASTLE: ‘Resurrection’ You Ask, I Answer

He’s back!
CASTLE viewers haven’t seen 3XK/Jerry Tyson since he fell to his (presumed) death in season 5, and in this Monday’s episode, “Resurrection,” Castle and Beckett are shocked when they come face-to-face with him…or at least, someone who looks just like him.
I had the chance to watch “Resurrection” a little bit early, and when I asked you guys for some questions for this YAIA, you delivered. So, I have a few answers to some of your burning questions (though as a reminder, the intention of these posts is always to tease, not completely spoil the episode)…
CASTLE: ‘Castle, P.I.’ You Ask, I Answer

2015 is bringing some changes to CASTLE: as showrunner David Amann teased earlier this year, “Castle starts pursuing work that takes him outside of the 12th precinct.” Of course, what viewers now know is that the decision wasn’t his to make — he was banned from working with the NYPD in the midseason finale.
The first episode of 2015, “Castle, P.I.,” showcases the new dynamic the team is working with (and around). And since I had the chance to view the episode a little early, I have a few answers for your burning questions (and, as a reminder, the intention of these is always to tease, not completely spoil the episode)…
CASTLE: David Amann Teases What’s to Come in 2014, and Shaking Things Up in 2015

CASTLE is only about a third of the way through its seventh season, but already the show has delivered on some big moments and reveals: Castle and Beckett got married, we learned more about Castle’s missing months (after he went MIA on his wedding day) — and that Castle was the one responsible for his memories being erased.
As the final episodes of 2014 play out, it’ll be a mix of the lighter hours (the December 1st installment, “Last Action Hero”) and tense ones (tonight’s episode, “Kill Switch”). And the final episode (“Bad Santa”) will pave the way for a bit of a shakeup in 2015.
I spoke with CASTLE showrunner David Amann about what’s in store…

For CASTLE’s Castle and Beckett, after love and marriage comes…a combo “honeymoon”-murder investigation.
And while CASTLE showrunner David Amann shared a few of his own teases about what’s going on in the hour, after I watched “Once Upon a Time in the West,” I had a few of my own to share…

CASTLE: David Amann Teases Castle and Beckett’s ‘Honeymoon’ in ‘Once Upon a Time in the West’

CASTLE’s Castle and Beckett got married in an adorably perfect/fitting ceremony in the latest episode of the series, and naturally, next up is a honeymoon. Unfortunately for the duo, it’s not their real honeymoon — they go undercover at a dude ranch to try and solve a case.
And while going undercover might sound like they’re going all out with fake names/personas, etc., CASTLE showrunner David Amann noted that the circumstances of the case will allow the two to keep things a little bit more simple than a traditional undercover assignment.

CASTLE has a very, very, very big episode coming up, and the first photos from “The Time of Our Lives” have arrived.
Check them out!
CASTLE
CASTLE - "The Time of Our Lives" -- A murder investigation launches Castle into what seems to be an alternate universe where he's never met Kate Beckett. Castle has to convince Beckett, Esposito and Ryan -- now complete strangers -- to let him participate in their investigation so he can find his way back to his own world. This inspires Castle & Beckett to finally take a trip to the altar, on "Castle," MONDAY, NOVEMBER 10 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. (ABC/Adam Taylor) SUSAN SULLIVAN
CASTLE airs Mondays at 10 PM on ABC.

CASTLE Scoop: IN PLAIN SIGHT’s Paul Ben-Victor to Guest Star

CASTLE is hosting a (very mini) DRIVE reunion in an upcoming episode: a rep for the show has confirmed that Paul Ben-Victor will guest star in an upcoming episode.
Ben-Victor — who appeared on one episode of the short-lived Fox drama, DRIVE (which starred CASTLE star Nathan Fillion, who first tweeted the casting news), and spent five seasons on USA Network’s IN PLAIN SIGHT — will appear in CASTLE’s as-yet-unnamed 10th episode this season as Dino Scarpella, a tough mob boss…who has a soft spot for Castle’s books. Cannot. Wait.
Are you excited to see Ben-Victor on CASTLE?
CASTLE airs Mondays at 10 PM on ABC.

CASTLE is back, and Castle has been found (alive), but what the author was up to in the months he was missing is still up for debate. Luckily for him, he does have an excellent team on his side who is determined to help him figure things out.
I spoke with CASTLE star Tamala Jones (Lanie) about what role Lanie will play in Castle’s case, what’s in store for Lanie/Esposito, what episode was a “total shock” to her, and more…

The first photos from CASTLE season 7 are here, and after last season’s finale which left Castle presumed dead, it shouldn’t be a huge shock which character is MIA in these photos.
Check out what’s in store for “Driven”…
CASTLE
CASTLE - "Driven" - In the Season 6 finale, as Richard Castle drove to his much-anticipated nuptials, an ominous black SUV bore down on him. Meanwhile, after waiting in vain for Castle to arrive at the wedding, Beckett was called to an accident scene to find Castle's car in a ravine, engulfed in flames. Who or what caused the car crash? Is there any way Castle could have survived? The episode will pick-up at the scene of that accident, right where the finale left off, in a premiere that promises to put Beckett through the toughest case of her career. Season 7 of "Castle" begins on MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 29 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET/PT) on the ABC Television Network. (ABC/Kelsey McNeal)SEAMUS DEVER, JON HUERTAS, STANA KATIC

CASTLE: Andrew Marlowe and David Amann on Opening Up a New Mythology, Dream Guest Stars, and More

CASTLE’s sixth season ended in a way many fans didn’t expect: instead of Castle and Beckett tying the knot, he disappeared on the way to their wedding…and was presumed dead. But since the show is called CASTLE, it’s fairly safe to say the show won’t be going down that tragic path.
To get a little bit of insight into what’s to come, I sat down with CASTLE creator, Andrew Marlowe, and new showrunner, David Amann, to talk about season 7, how Castle’s absence is impacting the people who care about him most, and more…

Comments Off on CASTLE: Seamus Dever Previews Ryan’s Quest to Be Castle’s Best Man, and the Upcoming Season Finale
As CASTLE’s Castle and Beckett get closer to their wedding day, the final preparations are being made. And in this Monday’s new episode, “Law & Boarder,” Ryan and Esposito have a particular task in mind they want to claim ownership of.
“Esposito and Ryan are both vying to be best man for Castle’s wedding,” CASTLE star Seamus Dever (Ryan) laughed. “There’s this comedy of errors where Castle thinks we’re talking about something different, and he doesn’t catch on that they’re sucking up to him and trying to be his best buddy in like a really cloying, annoying way. We’re suddenly just on him, completely, and really competing with one another. So that’s a lot of fun. It’s always fun when Jon [Huertas (Esposito)] and I have to compete about something. We get digs in, and we give each other looks, and there’s lots of things at stake for Ryan and Esposito in that episode.”
And while Castle may be oblivious to what’s going on, Ryan and Esposito’s antics do catch the attention of Beckett.

CASTLE has been off the air for several weeks, but the show returns this Monday with “That ’70s Show,” an episode that finds the characters embracing the ’70s in an attempt to solve a decades-old case.
