When CASTLE returns on April 21st, the show is taking a trip to the ’70s…but don’t expect it to be a redux of, “Blue Butterfly,” the noir episode from two years ago.
“We have a really, really fun episode that takes us into the world of the 1970s, into the middle of the disco era,” CASTLE creator Andrew Marlowe previewed last month. “It’s a different device than ‘Blue Butterfly,’ that allows us to see our characters in that era. So that’s going to be fun.”
Check out some photos from “That ’70s Show”…

Unfortunately, their only witness is a man who thinks it's still the 1970's, so to uncover what he knows, they must play into his delusion, and party like it's the last days of disco, on "Castle," MONDAY, APRIL 21 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. (ABC/Danny Feld)NATHAN FILLION, MOLLY QUINN

Beckett and Castle have been engaged for all of this season of CASTLE, and the show may be leading up to a spring wedding for the duo. But will their nuptials go off as planned?
While CASTLE boss Andrew Marlowe wouldn’t spill all the details (naturally), we talked about the decision to show so many of the wedding’s details before the big day, as well as upcoming cases, and more…

Since Gates entered the CASTLE world in 2011, fans have only gotten little glimpses of the woman behind the title. But with Monday’s brand new episode, “The Greater Good,” viewers will finally get to explore a little bit of Gates’ complicated family dynamic.
To get a little bit of a tease about the hour, I spoke with CASTLE star Penny Johnson Jerald (Gates) about learning more about her character, what she does with the new info, which upcoming episode nearly caused her to injure herself while reading it, and more…

Late last year, CASTLE creator Andrew Marlowe shared a little tease about a case that examined what the spotlight does to people: “It puts Castle and Beckett in a world in which the spotlight is very bright. And [we examine] what it does to people. And I think it makes Beckett reflect on what it means to be with a guy who is in the public eye. So that’s really fun.”
And now we have some photos from the hour, “Limelight.” Take a look at what you can expect…
CASTLE
CASTLE - "Limelight" - When a rising young pop star is found dead in an alley, Castle and Beckett delve into the victim's out-of-control hard-partying lifestyle, but as they dig deeper, a shocking revelation threatens to rock their investigation, on "Castle," MONDAY, JANUARY 20 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. Alexandra Chando ("The Lying Game," "As the World Turns") guest stars in the episode. It seems like CASTLE’s Lanie will finally get her turn in the spotlight in the November 18th episode, “Disciple”…but, unfortunately, it’s because the murder victim bears a striking resemblance to her. (That’s not creepy at all.)
Check out some photos from “Disciple,” including guest star Annie Wersching…

CASTLE: Lisa Edelstein Teases ‘Need to Know’
October 7, 2013 by Marisa Roffman
When CASTLE boss Andrew Marlowe first teased tonight’s brand new episode, “Need to Know,” he noted, “We have an idea that’s centered around the death of a grown-up child actor, that takes us into a fun kind of SAVED BY THE BELL world, that turns into something much more complicated than that as we move further into the storytelling.”
As it turns out, the “more complicated” aspect of the episode is due to circumstances that bring Beckett back to New York…but with a twist.

What happens when CASTLE’s D.C. team meets up with the original New York team? Well…it’s going to be interesting.
Take a look at some photos of what’ll happen when it goes down in “Need to Know”…
CASTLE
CASTLE - "Need To Know" - With Beckett still in D.C., Castle and the boys investigate the murder of former child star Charlie Reynolds, who rose to fame playing the lovable nerd on an early 90s High School sitcom. But the case takes a turn for the strange when Agents Beckett and McCord arrive from Washington to take over the investigation, creating competitive tension in the precinct. But why would a washed-up actor's death warrant Federal scrutiny? Whatever the reason, Beckett and McCord aren't telling. Meanwhile, Castle has to contend with a new face at the 12th, NYPD Detective Frank "Sully" Sullivan (Joshua Bitton, "The Pacific"). Antonio Sabato, Jr. ("Melrose Place," "General Hospital") guest stars as Ramon Russo, the victim's former sitcom costar, on "Castle," MONDAY, OCTOBER 7 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. (ABC/Richard Cartwright)LISA EDELSTEIN
CASTLE airs Mondays at 10 PM on ABC.

CASTLE Season 6 Premiere: ‘Valkyrie’ You Ask, I Answer
August 30, 2013 by Marisa Roffman
The best sign of season premieres being right around the corner? Getting notifications that there are screeners for the opening hours of some of my favorite shows available. So, naturally, after watching CASTLE’s season 6 premiere, I want to talk with you guys about what happened.
Of course, I can’t share everything. First of all, what fun would that be for you guys? Second, I’m fairly certain if I did, highly-skilled ninjas would pop out and kick my butt. (Or…something a little more plausible. But I prefer to think it’ll be ninjas.) But thanks to you guys sending in some questions about “Valkyrie” via Twitter and Tumblr, I did my best to answer some things for you. That means there will be plenty of teasing, but the intention is not to ruin your enjoyment of the hour, so I couldn’t answer some of the very specific/spoilery questions you had. But hopefully you’ll still enjoy these teases…

CASTLE: ‘The Squab and the Quail’ Photo Preview – RINGER’s Ioan Gruffudd Guest Stars

An upcoming CASTLE puts both Castle and Beckett in an interesting position when Beckett has to protect Erik Vaughn, “a dashing billionaire entrepreneur” whose colleague is killed. And, because Beckett is rarely cursed by being around unattractive men, Erik is being played by former RINGER star Ioan Gruffudd. Naturally, Castle won’t be reacting too well to Beckett’s proximity to another charming man.
Take a look at some photos from “The Squab and the Quail”…
