Is CHICAGO FIRE Setting Up a New Spinoff?

The CHICAGO franchise has spawned a number of spinoffs post-FIRE’s launch—P.D. and MED are currently on the air; JUSTICE ran for a single season in 2017—but the series hasn’t expanded in a number of years.

However, with Severide (Taylor Kinney) temporarily shifting over to the Office of Fire Investigations, the series is following him as he tackles his new job.
