Though Comic-Con has found a way to go on, remotely, after its cancellation, one thing can’t really be replicated with virtual panels: the off-site activations.
In years past, networks and studios have gone all out, with pop-up WESTWORLD experiences, the bonkers SLEEPY HOLLOW virtual reality experience, NBC recreating THE GOOD PLACE’s neighborhood and SUPERSTORE’s Cloud 9, FX’s arena, and so much more.

BROOKLYN NINE-NINE had one of the best activations at Comic-Con this year, as fans were treated to a mini-Halloween Heist. In the pop-up precinct, each group was split into different sections, and raced against each other to solve four clues. The winning would team receive a victory belt…or at least a replica B99 badge.

LEGION and ARCHER are heading back to Comic-Con. Fresh off their second and ninth seasons, both shows will panel at the annual San Diego convention. Additionally, MAYANS MC—the SONS OF ANARCHY spinoff—will have its panel on Sunday. (Which its studio, 20th Century Fox, announced earlier.)

In addition to RIVERDALE getting promoted to Hall H (the biggest room at the convention), new NBC series MANIFEST is getting a premiere screening and panel, as is the new Hulu anthology CASTLE ROCK (which premieres the week after the convention).

In addition, AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. stars Clark Gregg (Phil Coulson), Ming-Na Wen as Melinda May, Brett Dalton as Grant Ward, Chloe Bennet as Daisy “Skye” Johnson, Iain De Caestecker as Leo Fitz, Elizabeth Henstridge as Jemma Simmons, Nick Blood as Lance Hunter, Adrianne Palicki as Bobbi Morse, Luke Mitchell as Lincoln Campbell and Henry Simmons as Alphonso “Mack” MacKenzie were in attendance to tease season 3.
