SUPERNATURAL star Jensen Ackles returns behind the camera to direct Tuesday night’s episode, “Soul Survivor,” but the hour is also a big one for his character, Dean, as Sam’s fight to remove the demon from his brother amps up. And, naturally, things don’t go totally as planned, so, as Ackles teases in the video below, “things get a little messy.”
Check out what else Ackles previewed about the hour…

Demon Dean will be causing trouble during SUPERNATURAL’s tenth season, and there’s nothing he holds sacred — not even Dean’s beloved Impala.
At Comic-Con, SUPERNATURAL star Jensen Ackles (Dean) talked with reporters about the havoc his “new” character will be causing…

Comments Off on SUPERNATURAL: Jeremy Carver on Sam and Dean in Season 10, the State of Heaven, and More
When SUPERNATURAL season 10 kicks off, the Winchester brothers will have taken a step away from the peace they found (temporarily) at the end of season 9: with Dean originally presumed dead (but really now Demon Dean), the brothers’ eventual reunion won’t be a particularly heartwarming experience. (In fact, in the one scene that was shown of season 10 during Comic-Con, the brothers were actively trying to physically attack each other.)
After the Comic-Con panel, SUPERNATURAL showrunner Jeremy Carver talked with reporters about the brothers’ relationship, the state of heaven in season 10, and more…

Comments Off on SUPERNATURAL: Jensen Ackles Teases Demon Dean’s Antics, and What’s to Come
When SUPERNATURAL returns in October, Dean Winchester will be arguably in one of the worst situations he’s had to deal with so far — he’ll be a demon.
I sat down with Jensen Ackles (Dean) to talk about Demon Dean and the destruction he’ll be causing, his take on the “I’m proud of us” scene, and more…
SUPERNATURAL: Jensen Ackles on Directing His Season 10 Episode

SUPERNATURAL star Jensen Ackles (Dean) has stepped behind the camera for a handful of episodes throughout the show’s first nine seasons, and he returned to the director’s chair for the show’s upcoming tenth season.
As per the show’s tradition, Ackles directed the first episode of the show’s production, but it will actually air a few episodes into the season itself (this year, the hour will be the third installment). And after the SUPERNATURAL Television Critics Association press tour panel honoring the show’s tenth year, I sat down with Ackles to talk about what the latest directing experience was like for him…

The Winchester brothers have had a rough go of it lately, as the duo are working together despite a whole lot of tension…and in tonight’s brand new episode of SUPERNATURAL, Crowley is back in the mix.
To get a little bit of information about what kind of drama that return will bring, I spoke with SUPERNATURAL boss Jeremy Carver about Sam and Dean’s ruptured bond, Castiel’s new followers, the Mark of Cain, and more…
SUPERNATURAL: Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki Preview Charlie’s Return and Taking on THE WIZARD OF OZ Characters in ‘Slumber Party’

It’s SUPERNATURAL-meets-THE WIZARD OF OZ in the upcoming episode, “Slumber Party,” and thankfully, Sam and Dean won’t be on their own as they have to try and wrap their minds around it: they’ll have the help of Charlie (returning guest star Felicia Day)!
“This is also what kind of stuff that excites me,” SUPERNATURAL star Jared Padalecki (Sam) shared with reporters in the video below. “Like, these little fun little ways we can tie in real pop culture or real urban legends — kind of how the show started, tying in…existing urban legends into the lore of the show. [In ‘Slumber Party’] we find out that Dorothy has been trapped in the Men of Letters bunker for a long, long, long time. And accidentally she is set free, but so is the witch…so now we have them running around our bunker, and we have to employ the help of the coolest computer nerd we know [Charlie] to help us try to figure out what happened.”
“Dean kind of tries to battle with the fact that there’s an actual Wizard of Oz, and there’s an actual Dorothy, and it’s all being unfolded in front of him,” Jensen Ackles (Dean) added later in the video.
Take a look at what else Padalecki and Ackles had to say about “Slumber Party,” the expansion of the Men of Letters bunker, and more…

Comments Off on SUPERNATURAL: Jensen Ackles on Dean’s Season 9 Story
SUPERNATURAL’s Dean had a bit of a setback last season when he had to watch his younger brother go through the trials (something Dean had wanted to undergo), but for the upcoming year, Jensen Ackles teased he was excited that Dean won’t be playing the
“guilty cheerleader” anymore.
Take a look at what else Ackles had to say about his character’s role in the new season…

Over eight seasons, SUPERNATURAL fans have learned quite a bit about Sam and Dean’s parents, plus their maternal family, the Campbells. But in Wednesday’s episode, “As Time Goes By,” viewers will get to meet Henry Winchester, the paternal grandfather of our boys.
The CW hosted a screening of the hour earlier today, and after, executive producer Robert Singer talked about finding the right actor for the important role, teased a few upcoming returns, and the possibility of season 9…
