“Toil and Trouble” – Elsbeth is thrown into the world of television after the showrunner of a long-running police procedural is brutally murdered in his office, and although it appears to be the act of a disgruntled fan, she begins to suspect the show’s longtime star Regina Coburn (Laurie Metcalf) who yearns for artistic fulfillment. A plastic surgeon is brutally murdered on the Thursday, April 25 episode of ELSBETH, placing the cops—and Elsbeth (Carrie Preston), who is tagging along as part of the ongoing consent decree—into the wild world of cosmetic enhancement.
“This episode is really funny because it’s a world that’s kind of rich for so many jokes,” Carra Patterson, who plays Officer Kaya Blanke, tells Give Me My Remote. “A lot of the things that we were exploring, a lot of those characters…I think people are gonna really be on the edge of their seats by this week’s journey.”
