The EUPHORIA Team Previews the New HBO Drama

HBO’s latest drama EUPHORIA explores the complexities of addiction, love, friendship, and connection—in a teen setting.

The series, which stars Zendaya, was inspired by an Israeli series of the same name, but developed by Sam Levinson.

“We started talking about it,” he recalled to reporters in the video below before the ATX Television Festival panel for the series about his meeting with HBO. “We just started talking about our lives, my struggles with addiction and anxiety and a host of other things…and [the HBO exec] was like, great, go write that.”
