The plans to potentially expand the FBI franchise have shifted: Originally, CBS was set to air a backdoor pilot for FBI: CIA as a spring episode of FBI. Now, Deadline reports that is no longer the case, as the potential spinoff series is still trying to secure its casting. (The series could still get a pickup, though.) Read more

CBS is developing FBI: CIA, which will be introduced via a planted spinoff that will air as an upcoming episode of FBI later this season, sources have confirmed to Give Me My Remote. In success, the series could be picked up for the 2025-2026 season. Read more
