FRINGE: Anna Torv Jokes About Olivia ‘Saving the World’

It’s been a few weeks since we last had a brand new episode of FRINGE. Are you guys having a little bit of withdrawal as we wait for the final season to unravel this fall?
While it’s too soon for much intel on what viewers can expect from the last 13 episodes of FRINGE (right now, the best I can offer you in terms of season 5 is what showrunners Jeff Pinkner and J.H. Wyman shared post-finale and the latest on Seth Gabel’s future with the show), but I do have a little bonus video for you guys from my set visit that is new to the site, albeit non-spoilery since the events in question already took place onscreen.
I was up on the Vancouver set while they were filming the FRINGE season 4 finale, and I talked with Anna Torv (Olivia) about battling David Robert Jones…and what she needs to remind herself when filming the series in the middle of the night.

FRINGE Recap: ‘The Consultant’

As we inch closer to the end of the season on FRINGE, so much is going down that it’s understandable there needs to be a significant amount of set-up to get us to there. It’s not a bad thing, per se, but tonight’s episode certainly felt like an hour that will mean more in hindsight — especially since a good portion of it felt like it served to be a puzzle piece being revealed, but not yet fully placed on the board.
So let’s talk about what we learned…

Lincoln fans, it is a big night for both of your guys on FRINGE. Fresh off of pretty much every conceivable thing going wrong for him last week, Lincoln travels over to the other universe in tonight’s episode, “Everything In Its Right Place,” where he teams up with the other Lincoln and Fauxlivia on a case.
As you may have seen, I was on the FRINGE set earlier this week, so I sat down with Seth Gabel (Lincoln) to talk about what brings Lincoln to seek out the other universe, whether there’s really a shot for this Lincoln and Fauxlivia, and what it was like filming “Nothing As it Seems.”

True to the episode’s title, FRINGE’s “Nothing As It Seems” was, well, nothing like it seemed.
The hour seemed to be an easy enough case (a rehash of season 1’s “The Transformation”), but it ended up…on a boat with about 3,231,526 more questions. Because I really want to try and have a group mind meld so we can figure out what the frak is going on, let’s briefly touch on what actually went down before we try and figure out the implications…

It’s no secret FRINGE executive producers Jeff Pinkner and J.H. Wyman like to keep their cards close to the vest when it comes to spoilers for the series, but they were in a surprisingly revealing mood Sunday before their WonderCon panel.
Not only were the showrunners willing to elaborate (a teeny tiny bit) on the much-discussed episode 19, but they also shared that a major season-long debate will be settled in this Friday’s brand new episode.
Intrigued? Take a look at what else they told reporters, including a director change for the season finale, and their thoughts on a potential season 5…
