Naturally, things are a bit tense, and for Kristen (Stephnie Weir) the day goes from bad to worse. (It doesn’t help that Kristen has a very bad history with this particular holiday, too.)
I spoke with Weir about Kristen’s terrible day, what she’d like to see going forward, and more…

FX has renewed TYRANT for a 13-episode second season, the network announced. The series is set to return in summer of 2015.
“We’re so proud of TYRANT’s performance throughout its first season,” said Nick Grad, co-President of Original Programming for FX Networks and FX Productions in a statement. “[Showrunner] Howard Gordon is one of the best and most successful producers in this business. His ability to combine intelligent, edge-of-your-seat storytelling with events from the current geopolitical climate is truly groundbreaking. BASKETS: FX Orders Zach Galifianakis-Led Series
August 27, 2014 by Marisa Roffman
FX has ordered 10 episodes of BASKETS, a half-hour, single camera comedy series starring Zach Galifianakis, and co-created by Galifianakis, Louis C.K. and Jonathan Krisel. The series will start production next year for a 2016 debut.
“Zach Galifianakis, Louis C.K. and Jonathan Krisel have created an absolutely brilliant show,” said Eric Schrier, Co-President of Original Programing for FX Networks and FX Productions. “To say Zach’s portrayal of the lead character Chip Baskets is hilarious/unique/riveting/fascinating would be an understatement. We can’t wait for the world to meet him.”
So what’s BASKETS about? “In a world constrained by corporate interests and the homogenization of society, one man in Bakersfield, California dares to follow his dream of becoming a professional clown. But after an unsuccessful enrollment at a prestigious clowning school in Paris, the only job he can find is with the local rodeo. Baskets follows Chip Baskets’ (Zach Galifianakis) pursuit of his dream, against all odds, to be a respected clown.”

FARGO will return for a second season, FX announced during its Television Critics Association press tour day.
According to FX, the return of FARGO will “feature an all-new cast of characters, a new time period and a new ‘true crime’ story that will unfold over the course of 10 episodes.”
“We could not be more proud of Fargo,” said John Landgraf, CEO, FX Networks & FX Productions in a statement. “Noah’s audacious, bordering on hubristic riff on my favorite Coen brothers film earned 18 Emmy nominations – the most for a single program in our history. Fargo was nothing short of breathtaking and we look forward to the next installment.”
