NEW AMSTERDAM Exclusive Clip: Meet Genevieve Angelson’s Dr. Mia Castries

With NEW AMSTERDAM’s Max (Ryan Eggold) and Helen (Freema Agyeman) now off making a new life in London, things are very different at the hospital they left behind.

“Max and Helen really left them at the worst possible time,” NEW AMSTERDAM showrunner David Schulner previously teased. “Fuentes has really remade the place in her image. And all of them are really suffering the consequences for that.”

One of the steps Fuentes (Michelle Forbes) has taken? Hiring Dr. Mia Castries—played by BACKSTROM/GOOD GIRLS REVOLT’s Genevieve Angelson, who is recurring on the NBC medical drama.

LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT: ‘Hell’s Kitchen’ Photos

Former CHICAGO FIRE star Monica Raymund is making her television directorial debut with the Thursday, November 8 hour of LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT.

In “Hell’s Kitchen,” NBC teases a “waitress from a trendy New York restaurant is sexually assaulted at an after-hours VIP party.” (Luke Kirby, Genevieve Angelson, Jacob Pitts, Tiffany Villarin, and Anthony Chatmon guest star in the hour.)

BACKSTROM: Genevieve Angelson Set As the New Female Lead

The upcoming Fox series BACKSTROM (which has already had a crazy development journey) has found a new female lead: a rep for the show confirms that Genevieve Angelson has joined the show.

Angelson will play Detective Nicole Gravely, a role that was originally played by Mamie Gummer in the CBS version of the pilot. Detective Gravely is Backstom (Rainn Wilson)’s second-in-command, and has to deal with his constant, um, questionable behavior.

TV viewers may recognize Angelson from her recurring role on HOUSE OF LIES or guest spots on THE GOOD WIFE, ARMY WIVES, or THE GLADES.

BACKSTROM will debut on Fox during the 2014-2015 season.
