GOTHAM Series Finale Trailer Pays Homage to the Past, Looks to Batman’s (and the Villains’) Future

GOTHAM signs off with a jump to the future in its Thursday, April 25 series finale, and the brand new trailer shows a bit more of what’s in store.

With Bruce (David Mazouz) MIA, the villains think they have control…but then “a man dressed like a bat” starts showing up and causing trouble. The trailer also show the first real look at the Selina recast (now played by Lili Simmons) and fitting homage to the show’s early years.

GOTHAM Final Season Promo Teases the End

The final—newly expanded—run of GOTHAM is nearly here, and Fox released the first full teaser for the fifth and final season.

“I’m just trying to keep this city from falling apart,” Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) tells Barbara (Erin Richards) in the video below.

“You’re too late,” she replies.

Fox has ordered two more hours of the final season of GOTHAM, the network announced. The move brings the fifth year count up to 12 installments…and will end the series on its 100th episode. Read more

New York Comic Con 2018: WB Announces Panels for GOTHAM, RIVERDALE, LEGACIES, and More

Warner Bros. has set its New York Comic Con lineup.

In addition to a panel for the final season of GOTHAM, as well as Q&As with the stars of RIVERDALE, BLINDSPOT, THE 100, and new show MANIFEST, the studio will host world premiere screenings for TITANS, LEGACIES, and ROSWELL, NEW MEXICO.

New GOTHAM Trailer Teases Jerome’s Threat

Jerome (Cameron Monaghan) is out for blood on GOTHAM.

With the deviously psychotic criminal out of Arkham—and a bunch of his friends on the loose with him—Gotham has arguably never been in more danger.

In the new “white band” trailer for the series, Jerome’s past, and future, misdeeds are laid out…as he looks to burn the city down.

GOTHAM: Ben McKenzie on Directing (Again)

After more than 15 years working in television, Ben McKenzie made his directorial debut with a 2017 GOTHAM episode. (The May 1 hour, “These Delicate and Dark Obsessions.”)

Now, McKenzie—who also stars on the series as Captain Jim Gordon—steps behind the camera again with Thursday’s deliciously twisted installment, “One Of My Three Soups.” In the episode, notable inmates from Arkham Asylum—including Jerome (Cameron Monaghan) and Tetch/the Mad Hatter (Benedict Samuel)—break free and cause deadly mayhem in Gotham.

The first time McKenzie directed, “I was worried about screwing it up,” he told reporters. “I was very conservative. My goal was to be able to do it again. And look, if you’re the lead of the show and you’re directing, they tend to give you a lot of rope there. They’re probably going to bring you back—but you didn’t want to mess it up.”
