After two weeks of Give Me My Remote readers nominating their television favorites from the past year, it’s time to vote for the 4th Annual GMMR TV Awards!
Most of the categories have five nominees, but due to ties, the number can vary. (And, as a reminder, each category can only have two nominees per show, so only the top two vote-getters from any particular series moved forward.)

Comments Off on GOTHAM Teaser: ‘Villains’
GOTHAM’s prequel story isn’t just telling the tale of a young James Gordon — some of the most iconic DC villains will also get their origins revealed in the new Fox drama. So it’s only appropriate the newest teaser for the series is focused on them…

So. Good.
GOTHAM airs Mondays at 8 PM on Fox this fall.

Which 2014-2015 Television Trailers Are You Rewatching?

Comments Off on Which 2014-2015 Television Trailers Are You Rewatching?
One of the best parts about the Upfronts is we traditionally get our first looks at the new shows that will be populating our television screens during the upcoming season.
Of course, the trailers aren’t always an indication of how the show will turn out — great shows have had terrible trailers, and terrible shows have looked significantly better thanks to a great trailer. But for now, there are a few trailers I’m obsessing over for the new television season.

This fall, Fox will be diving into the origin story of James Gordon and the (future) criminals and heroes of Gotham City in the new drama, GOTHAM.
Check out photos from the pilot, gallery pictures, the show’s official description, and check back soon for a trailer (Fox previously released this extended trailer, but it’s TBA whether this is the same one they’ll show at the Upfronts today)…
GOTHAM
GOTHAM: GOTHAM traces the rise of the great DC Comics Super-Villains and vigilantes, revealing an entirely new chapter that has never been told. From executive producer/writer Bruno Heller (“The Mentalist,” “Rome”) and starring Ben McKenzie (“Southland,” “The O.C.”), Jada Pinkett Smith (“Hawthorne,” “Collateral”) and Donal Logue (“Vikings,” “Sons of Anarchy”), GOTHAM follows one cop, destined for greatness, as he navigates a dangerously corrupt city teetering on the edge of evil, and chronicles the birth of one of the most popular super heroes of our time. GOTHAM will air Mondays (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) this fall on FOX. Fox Announces 2014-2015 Schedule

With Fox shifting into year-round programming, there are a good amount of new shows debuting this fall, but a whole lot of shows are being saved for 2015. (And in terms of returning scripted, non-animated shows, only SLEEPY HOLLOW, NEW GIRL, and THE MINDY PROJECT are starting Fall 2014 in the same slot they started Fall 2013 in.)
“Our portfolio of content this year reflects the biggest investment in programming we’ve ever made,” said Kevin Reilly, Chairman, Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company (FOX) in a statement. “FOX is redefining the network experience on our air and as a 24/7/365 platform, with distinctive series, addictive event dramas and can’t-miss live specials that will deliver broadcast’s most youthful audience at scale.”
