Comments Off on SCANDAL: Katie Lowes and Guillermo Diaz on That Crazy-Tense Torture Scene and What Comes Next
SCANDAL is no stranger to pulling outrageous stunts, but perhaps nothing has been more shocking than what viewers witnessed in the last episode, “YOLO”: Huck, admittedly, a character whose twisted past includes a long history (and passion) for torture took his revenge on Quinn for her betrayal (she got drawn in and manipulated by the people at B-613) by keeping her restrained and, among other things, removed a tooth.
I spoke with SCANDAL stars Guillermo Diaz (Huck) and Katie Lowes (Quinn) about filming “YOLO,” what comes next, having a shorter season 3, and more…

SCANDAL: Guillermo Diaz on the ‘Fierce Loyalty’ at Pope & Associates, Another Huck Flashback, and More
August 8, 2013 by Marisa Roffman

As SCANDAL exploded in popularity last season, it became very apparent that due to the “WTF is going on?!” nature of the show — and how drastically the storylines could alter from one episode to the next — there was very little the actors could actually tease about what was to come without giving away too much spoilery goodness.
So it’s no surprise that when I caught up with SCANDAL star Guillermo Diaz (Huck) earlier this week, he was mum about how his character would handle Olivia being outed as the President’s mistress when the show resumes for season 3.
“I can’t really say how he’s handling it, because that would be revealing too much,” teased Diaz. “They still have that fierce loyalty to each other. He’s not judging anybody; he’s not judging her or anybody else. That’s the great thing about Pope & Associates: they’ve all done really bad things and really great things, and none of them are in a place to judge, and they’re all in it together. They all have each other’s backs.”
However, Diaz was able to share that season 3 will once again dive into Huck’s past…and he’ll be dealing with the ramifications of enabling Quinn’s newfound love of torture.
