When two jurors in a mafia trial are killed on the Tuesday, February 25 episode of FBI, the team is enlisted to discover what’s going on…and they realize the case is considerably more complex than they anticipated.

For Scola (John Boyd), this hits close to home after losing his brother, Doug, in the 9/11 attacks. “It’s a really interesting predicament for this character because we don’t have time to stop and feel about it—but we all know it’s in the ether of the case,” Boyd tells Give Me My Remote in the video below. “So we’re going, ‘I can’t believe this is what’s happening. Okay, we’ve just got to get through it.’ And, yeah, it’s a big one.” Read more

Things are going well for Rina (Kathleen Munroe) and Jubal (Jeremy Sisto) in “Unfinished Business,” the Tuesday, December 14 episode of FBI—until, out of nowhere, Rina gets shot.
“What happens is very traumatic for anyone,” Sisto acknowledges. “Being in the FBI, Jubal has been through traumatizing events, but he…stays out of the line of fire, most of the time, in his position. And this, of course, goes beyond the job, because someone very close to him gets hurt. I think it’s an added psychological emotional disruption for Jubal, because he’s a recovering alcoholic, and it’s really is first effort putting himself out there.”
With Rina fighting for her life, Jubal jumps straight into work to figure out who targeted her…and why. Read more

On the Tuesday, December 7 episode of FBI, the team has to figure out how to stop an upcoming terrorist attack. For Scola (John Boyd), who is still grieving the loss of his brother on 9/11, the case hits close to home.
“Just on a personal note, this is the episode that I’ve been hoping and waiting to get to do since I started the show,” Boyd says. “I love this, because our showrunner Rick [Eid, who also wrote the hour], he worked on Wall Street, and he left it to pursue something that was more important and deeper to him. Getting to play a character that you know represents some sort of personal thing in one of your writers is a really interesting thing; it’s such an honor to get that. So, really, the only thing Rick needed to tell me was, ‘Hey, it’s coming.’ And I said, ‘I’m ready.'”
