BONES Bosses on Embracing the Past, the ‘Energizing’ Season 11, and the Game-Changing Midseason Finale

BONES is starting its impressive 11th season with new bosses in charge — but, thankfully, Jonathan Collier and Michael Peterson (the aforementioned showrunners) have been with the show for a bit, and have a vested interest in doing right by it.
“We love the show,” Peterson gushed over the summer. “We’ve been handed the most precious baby in the world, and we want to see her run for a long, long time. We love her. We’re going to do whatever is best for her. We’re not going to do it if it’s not true to the characters, the story. I’d like to see her live as long as THE SIMPSONS lives.”
“We were handed something that was great, so we’re deeply respectful of what [BONES creator] Hart [Hanson] and [longtime BONES showrunner] Stephen [Nathan] have done before us,” Collier pointed out. “The DNA of the show is so good, they managed it so well. The first rule of thumb is do no harm. The second rule is keep it fresh, which was Hart’s advice to us. Everything we’re doing is with Hart and Stephen’s blessing; we love them, we still lean on them for advice.”
The duo also received another important piece of feedback when it was announced they would be taking over showrunning duties.

BONES: Karine Rosenthal on Writing the Booth and Brennan Wedding Episode, ‘The Woman in White’

BONES’ Booth and Brennan are now officially married!
It took 172 episodes, years of banter, a few other love interests, more disgusting bodies than any human should ever recall — and a last-minute fire to the church and case to solve — but Booth and Brennan swapped vows in Monday night’s episode, “The Woman in White.”
The hour was a big one for the series, and to make sure it was given its proper due, they brought back former BONES writer/producer, Karine Rosenthal (who was with the show from 2006 until 2012), to pen the long-awaited nuptials.
It’s no secret I absolutely adored the hour, and Rosenthal was gracious enough to hop on the phone to chat about returning to the series, what she did to prep for the episode, what didn’t make the cut, and more…
BONES: Stephen Nathan, Jonathan Collier, and Michaela Conlin Tease Booth and Brennan’s Wedding

Originally, the plan was to keep the “when” of BONES’ Booth/Brennan wedding on the down low, but things change: the producers are now freely admitting the long-awaited marriage will go down in October. Yes, we’re just weeks away from seeing Booth and Brennan become man and wife!
But just because the duo are going to be hitched ASAP, that doesn’t mean things are going to be absolutely smooth on the road to get them there.
“It’s a BONES wedding,” BONES executive producer Stephen Nathan teased. “We wanted to give the people who have been so loyal to us for so many years the wedding that they would want. And as much as we wanted to do that, it’s never that simple on BONES. So while our intention was pure, the outcome is far different than we imagined. But hopefully, no less magical.”
Which means the show is doing all they can behind the scenes to make sure things live up to expectations.
