Well, this isn’t exactly “Falling Slowly.”
In Sunday’s new episode of THE LAST MAN ON EARTH, Tandy (Will Forte) tries to get Carol (Kristen Schaal) to partake in a little bit of karaoke with him. (REO Speedwagon’s “Can’t Fight This Feeling,” naturally.)
Unfortunately, in the exclusive clip below, Carol isn’t as into things as Tandy’s brother Mike (Jason Sudeikis)—who is still adjusting back to life with other humans—was, much to Tandy’s chagrin. “That’s where you’re supposed to start,” Tandy tells his wife when she lets the words pass by without singing along.
“Oh. Sorry,” Carol replies. “I was just distracted by the beautiful word highlighting.” And when she gives it an official try, things go awry. (Yes, Carol is too pure for this world.)
Check out a clip of a very LAST MAN ON EARTH karaoke!

Ah, romance.
In this Sunday’s episode of THE LAST MAN ON EARTH, Tandy (Will Forte) and Carol (Kristen Schaal) get their first real opportunity to have couple time (or, um, “release the hounds”) since they had their twins.
But naturally, Tandy doesn’t simply light candles or put on sexy music to seduce his wife…he goes all out. With the babies’ ears safely guarded (why scar the kids this early in life?), Tandy puts on a show for Carol—complete with a sexy dance, fedora, long nightshirt, and a very thorough body cleaning.
Check out the sequence in this exclusive clip from “Release the Hounds”…

Sunday. Night. TV. Is. Insane.
Honestly, I don’t know how people who don’t do this as a career survive Sunday nights. I had nine shows I watched on Sunday night, and there are still a few I have to catch up on/I had screeners for about half of these. These are high-class problems, but man, what a huge amount of TV for us to discuss.
Let’s get to it, with an extra warning that there are spoilers in here — between a finale and a big unannounced cameo on a certain Fox comedy, there are spoilers in here for a good number of Sunday shows…

ABC and Fox launched their Sunday lineups this week, so a lot of TV went down. (And that’s not even including Showtime’s finales…and I’m, sadly, woefully behind on both MASTERS OF SEX and RAY DONOVAN.)
Let’s talk a bit about what went down last night… Read more

Phil and Carol left Tuscon to get a fresh start at the end of THE LAST MAN ON EARTH’s first season. And while the first few photos of the new season don’t show a whole lot of where the duo end up, there’s a “Kraft Korner” which could either be promising or Phil’s worst nightmare.
Check out some photos from “Is There Anybody Out There?”

Former THE OFFICE executive producer Dan Sterling has joined Fox’s THE LAST MAN ON EARTH as showrunner, a rep for the show confirmed.
The comedy — which was created by star Will Forte, and executive produced by Chris Miller and Phil Lord — has a 13-episode second season order, which could be expanded in the coming weeks.
“The order is for 13 [episodes],” Miller said earlier this month. “We don’t want to do 22. A big reason of that is Will’s in the writers’ room, he’s in the editing room, and it would just be impossible. I think we’re planning on doing more than 13. We’re going to figure out where the story’s going, exactly, and we’ll probably have a few more than 13. Somewhere between 13 and 22…they want more, we want to do more, also, but we have to figure it out. Even if we do more, it might be two kind of half seasons type of things.”

THE LAST MAN ON EARTH: Will Forte, Chris Miller, and Phil Lord (Vaguely) Tease What’s to Come

THE LAST MAN ON EARTH’s Phil and Carol certainly haven’t had a typical courtship and marriage, but the duo finally moved in together — thanks to Carol prompting the last cow on earth taking up residence in her home.
But how will they fare? At WonderCon, creator/star Will Forte (Phil) and executive producers Chris Miller and Phil Lord were fairly coy…but pretty hilarious in their vagueness.
Take a look…

In the new Fox series, THE LAST MAN ON EARTH, Will Forte’s character, Phil, is the last man on earth. Which could make a very interesting — or very weird — television series.
Check out some photos from the series, the official description, and check back later for a trailer…
THE LAST MAN ON EARTH
THE LAST MAN ON EARTH: Created by and starring Will Forte (“Nebraska,” “Saturday Night Live”) and directed by Chris Miller and Phil Lord (“The Lego Movie,” “21 Jump Street”), THE LAST MAN ON EARTH is a new single-camera comedy about the life and adventures of the last man on earth. PHIL MILLER (Forte) was once just an average guy who loved his family and hated his job at the bank – now he’s humanity’s last hope. Will he ever find another person alive on the planet? Would hoping that she is a female be asking too much? THE LAST MAN ON EARTH will join the schedule in 2015 on FOX. Pictured: Will Forte as Phil Miller. ©2014 Fox Broadcasting Co.
