Comments Off on LIMITLESS Stages DEXTER Reunion: Desmond Harrington to Guest Star
There’s a DEXTER reunion coming on the new CBS drama, LIMITLESS.
Desmond Harrington (who played Quinn on the long-running Showtime series) has signed on to guest star opposite LIMITLESS/DEXTER star Jennifer Carpenter, a rep for CBS has confirmed. The Hollywood Reporter was first to reveal the casting.
Harrington will play Casey Rooks, an agent with the FBI who is tasked to give Jake McDorman’s Brian Finch basic training. But since Brian has taken the NZT that was introduced in the Bradley Cooper-led 2011 LIMITLESS film, Brian’s ease at picking up the training has Casey suspicious.
And, yes, Harrington and Carpenter will interact: according to THR, Casey and Carpenter’s Agent Harris are having a secret affair. (Their characters were also romantically involved on DEXTER.)
Harrington is set to first appear in LIMITLESS’ fifth episode.
LIMITLESS premieres Tuesday, September 22nd at 10 PM on CBS.

Comments Off on LIMITLESS: ARROW’s Colin Salmon to Recur
ARROW’s Colin Salmon has landed a season-long recurring role on LIMITLESS, a rep for the show has confirmed.
Salmon will play Jared Sands, “a former intelligence officer” who now works as a fixer for Bradley Cooper’s Eddie Mora. (Cooper appears in the pilot and is set to appear on the series as needed/when he’s available.) Jared will keep tabs on Jake McDorman’s Brian Finch, the latter of whom is a new taker of the NZT drug — and is now working for the FBI.
Deadline was first to report Salmon’s casting.
LIMITLESS premieres Tuesday, September 22nd at 10 PM on CBS.

LIMITLESS Executive Producers on the New CBS Drama: It’s an Origin Story

Comments Off on LIMITLESS Executive Producers on the New CBS Drama: It’s an Origin Story
Though LIMITLESS started off with a Bradley Cooper-led film (and Cooper’s character, Edward Mora will appear on the show, occasionally), the television series will explore the story of a different character: Jake McDorman’s Brian Finch.
And at Comic-Con, the producers of LIMITLESS didn’t shy away from the CBS drama’s potential comparison to the other, more traditional, superhero shows on television right now.
“It’s a very grounded way to do a superhero show,” executive producer Heather Kadin acknowledged in the video below.
“There’s no question you could say it’s similar to superhero shows, or you could say it is a superhero show,” Craig Sweeny added. “There is a genre MacGuffin as part of the show…and we’ll touch on those tropes…I think we’re essentially doing an origin story.”
Check out what else Sweeny, Kadin, and pilot director/executive producer Marc Webb had to say about the new show, including expanding the roles of McDorman’s on-screen parents (played fabulously in the pilot by Ron Rifkin and Blair Brown), and how the show is tackling drug use…

LIMITLESS: Heather Kadin on Bradley Cooper’s Involvement, and Why It’s ‘SLEEPY HOLLOW 2.0’
May 26, 2015 by Marisa Roffman
Many of the new shows next season are based on familiar properties, but the new CBS drama, LIMITLESS (based on the 2011 film starring Bradley Cooper), is in the rare position of actually having an actor from the original project attached to the series. (Cooper is an executive producer on the CBS series, in addition to his appearance in the pilot.)
And though Cooper’s involvement with the pilot was known (and heavily teased in the trailer), CBS boss Nina Tassler raised a few eyebrows when she said he’d actually recur on the series. LIMITLESS executive producer Heather Kadin is a bit more realistic about what that might mean, given his very busy schedule.
