THE VAMPIRE DIARIES has added Tom, a new doppelganger to the mix, which means that series star Paul Wesley has added another character to his expanding roster (which includes, as of now, Stefan and the currently dead-Silas).
Before this weekend’s PaleyFest panel, I spoke with Wesley about his newest character, Stefan’s relationship with Caroline, and more…
THE MINDY PROJECT at PaleyFest: The Cast and Producers on the Decision to Pair Danny and Mindy, and What Comes Next
March 26, 2014 by Marisa Roffman
Filed under #1 featured, The Mindy Project
THE MINDY PROJECT has been off the air since January, and one of the things that has kept fans buzzing in that time was Danny and Mindy’s episode-ending kiss. But while some viewers may have been waiting for that moment for much (or all) of the show’s run, the people behind the series weren’t initially sure they’d go down that road with those characters.
“As writers, we can write dialogues and arcs to the story, but we can’t write chemistry,” THE MINDY PROJECT creator/star Mindy Kaling (Mindy) pointed out during Tuesday night’s PaleyFest panel honoring the series. “And for the longest time…we thought it could be like 30 ROCK, where Jack Donaghy and Liz Lemon [were] just colleagues. And then we had other people saying it was inevitable [Danny and Mindy got together]. You can’t script chemistry. You can’t script that whenever we cross the street [Chris Messina (Danny)] touches my back. After a while, it became not ‘if’ they kiss, but ‘when.'”
The potential coupling of Mindy and Danny has drawn comparisons to Kaling’s former series, THE OFFICE, where co-workers/friends Jim and Pam has their own slow build to a relationship, but Kaling isn’t as sold on that analogy.

After a brief period of happiness — and then a breakup that was made worse by a doppelganger — THE VAMPIRE DIARIES’ Damon and Elena came to the agreement they couldn’t be together…and still ended up back in bed with each other.
So what comes next for the duo? Before this weekend’s PaleyFest panel, I asked TVD star Ian Somerhalder (Damon) what he could tease about the road ahead…

THE VAMPIRE DIARIES: Nina Dobrev on Losing Katherine, Elena’s Troubles, and More
March 24, 2014 by Marisa Roffman
THE VAMPIRE DIARIES’ Nina Dobrev (Elena/Katherine/Amara) has had one heck of a year: in addition to adding another character to her already impressive roster for the series, she’s had to play multiple doppelganger death scenes, one doppelganger impersonated another for an extended period of time…and then there was the general, “normal,” trauma Elena was put through. (As it the norm for characters on THE VAMPIRE DIARIES.)
Before this weekend’s PaleyFest panel honoring the series, Dobrev talked with reporters about losing Katherine, Elena’s problems, and more…

MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. has thrown a lot at their characters, but one thing that seemed to be solid was Melinda May’s loyalty to Agent Coulson. But in the last episode, it was revealed that Melinda was reporting back to some unknown figure about what Coulson was up to.
Uh oh…
Before Sunday’s PaleyFest panel honoring the series, I spoke with S.H.I.E.L.D. star Ming-Na Wen (Melinda) about her reaction to reading the scenes viewers saw, Melinda’s mindset post-breakup with Ward, and more…

With only a week until HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER has its series finale, there’s a short amount of time before viewers get the final resolution to a story nine years in the making.
Of course, what’s also on many fans’ minds is the theory that the Mother is dead by the time Ted is telling his kids the story in 2030 — a rumor that the showrunners didn’t squash at the recent PaleyFest panel.
Before the panel, I talked with HIMYM’s Cristin Milioti (The Mother) about fan rumors, and to see if she could give a tease about where Ted and the Mother end up…

THE ORIGINALS: Julie Plec on the Possibility of Rebekah Returning via Flashbacks — or to THE VAMPIRE DIARIES
March 23, 2014 by Marisa Roffman

Comments Off on THE ORIGINALS: Julie Plec on the Possibility of Rebekah Returning via Flashbacks — or to THE VAMPIRE DIARIES
THE ORIGINALS shocked viewers when the show said goodbye to one of the core family members, Claire Holt’s Rebekah, in the March 11th episode of the freshman series. (Holt’s decision to leave the show was what prompted the writers to send Rebekah out of town.)
But THE ORIGINALS is a series that, so far, has relied on flashbacks to the siblings’ past tensions and relationships to explain and expand on what is going on in the present. So before Saturday night’s PaleyFest panel for THE ORIGINALS and its mothership series, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES, I asked THE ORIGINALS boss Julie Plec if it was plausible to expect to see Rebekah in those flashbacks — or if it was possible for her to turn up on THE VAMPIRE DIARIES again.

Last Friday, the VERONICA MARS movie was released and fans finally had the chance to see what their waiting — and Kickstarting the project — had led to.
Before last week’s PaleyFest panel, I talked with VERONICA MARS stars Enrico Colantoni (Keith), Jason Dohring (Logan), Francis Capra (Weevil), Percy Daggs III (Wallace), Chris Lowell (Piz), Tina Majorino (Mac), and Ryan Hansen (Dick) about what they wanted to say to fans — who made the film possible — after they saw it…

Comments Off on SLEEPY HOLLOW: Mark Goffman Teases What They Have in Store for Fans Between Seasons
It’s been exactly two months since SLEEPY HOLLOW’s first season concluded, and production on the upcoming season is still in the earliest of stages. So with months (and months and months) to go before viewers get SLEEPY HOLLOW season 2, what are fans to do to pass the time?
Well, there’s some good news: before Wednesday’s PaleyFest panel honoring the series, SLEEPY HOLLOW boss Mark Goffman teased they do have some fun things in store to help make the wait a little less torturous.
Check out what they’re planning…
