CHICAGO P.D. celebrates its milestone 200th episode on Wednesday, February 22 with the wildly ambitious, and character-driven, “Trapped.”

“We want to do something that gives credit to the fact that we’ve done this show for 10 years, and also to how many really talented people work on this show,” CHICAGO P.D. boss Gwen Sigan previously told Give Me My Remoter. “We’re going to do a production feat…it will be a bit of an action movie, but also a very emotional Burgess storyline.”

“I’m excited for it,” she continued. “It’s going to be a fun, very challenging one, but I think we can do it…it’s really about Intelligence as it is now and how far these characters have come in the past 10 years.”

When the hour kicks off Burgess (Marina Squerciati) is forced to contend with her lingering PTSD, which has been flaring up in recent months.

CHICAGO P.D. is no stranger to shocking, crazy season enders—and season 9’s closer, airing on Wednesday, May 25 will be no exception.

And when Give Me My Remote asked CPD stars Patrick John Flueger and LaRoyce Hawkins for a single word to describe the cliffhanger in “You and Me,” their choices were just a tiny bit alarming…in all the best ways.

“I think people are just going to be like, ‘You’ve got to be kidding me,'” Flueger says in the video below. “‘I gotta wait for September for any sort of resolve from this situation?'”

CHICAGO P.D.: Patrick John Flueger and LaRoyce Hawkins on Ruzek’s Big Gesture to Burgess

On the Wednesday, May 11 episode of CHICAGO P.D., Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) made a grand gesture to Burgess (Marina Squerciati): He wanted to buy his father’s home, and give it to her and Makayla (Ramona Edith Williams).

Though the former couple have never quite been able to get their timing right (so far), Flueger notes his proposition really was more family-based than pinning hopes on a possible romantic future.

“I think he’s been trying to join the [relationship] equation [with Burgess] for years now,” he acknowledges in the video below. “I think, in all honesty, at least where I was coming from—I don’t know where the writers are going with it—it’s not even about Kim as much as it’s about Makayla.”
