“Pilot” – POPPA’S HOUSE, starring Damon Wayans and Damon Wayans Jr., features Wayans as legendary talk radio host and happily divorced “Poppa” who has his point of view challenged at work when Ivy (Essence Atkins), a new female co-host, is hired, and at home where he finds himself still parenting his adult son, Junior, a brilliant dreamer who is trying to pursue his passion while being a responsible father and husband to Nina (Tetona Jackson). In the series premiere, Poppa gets surprised at work when corporate brings in brainy psychologist Dr. Ivy Reid to add a female perspective to his radio show. Also, Junior gets fired by Nina’s dad when he misses a big sales pitch to apply for a directing job, on the series premiere of “Poppa’s House,” Monday, Oct. 21 (8:30-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs)*.
