Amazon has ordered UPLOAD, a new series from THE OFFICE creator Greg Daniels.
Per Amazon, “UPLOAD is a sci-fi sitcom that takes place in the near future, where people who are near death can be “uploaded” into a virtual afterlife of their choice. In 2033, secretly romantic Brooklyn-born Nora works customer service for a luxurious virtual reality environment. When handsome L.A. party boy Nathan’s self-driving car crashes, his high-maintenance girlfriend uploads him permanently into Nora’s VR world.”
The series stars Andy Allo and Robbie Amell. The first season order is for ten-episodes.

THE FLASH has yet to debut, but it is getting a little extra superhero help: a rep for the show has confirmed that the show has cast Robbie Amell in the recurring role of Ronnie Raymond (AKA Firestorm). Amell will debut in THE FLASH’s third episode.
“Geoff Johns, Andrew Kreisberg and myself designed the pilot and series to include Ronnie (aka Firestorm) — and to actually have someone with Robbie’s talent playing the role is beyond exciting,” THE FLASH executive producer Greg Berlanti said in a statement. “We can’t wait for viewers and fans of the character to check it out.”
Amell — who is cousins with ARROW star Stephen Amell (whose show hosted the introduction of THE FLASH’s Barry Allen, and who will appear in THE FLASH pilot) — is also a familiar face to The CW fans: he spent last season as the lead of THE TOMORROW PEOPLE.

THE TOMORROW PEOPLE’s Stephen has gotten himself into quite the bind in just one episode: shortly after finding out he was part of the Tomorrow People, a genetically advanced race of humans (which has given him pesky/useful abilities that simultaneously make him an outcast with his old life, but binds him to a new group of people), Stephen agreed to work for his uncle at Ultra to help track those very people down. But because things can’t be simple in Stephen’s life, he’s attempting to be a double-agent at Ultra — which means he’s lying at his new job, he’s lying to his friends/family who don’t know his secret, and things are complicated with the Tomorrow People.
To get more insight into what’s to come, THE TOMORROW PEOPLE star Robbie Amell (Stephen) sat down with reporters on the show’s Vancouver set to talk about how Stephen’s uncle, Jedikiah, might be changing him, what Stephen’s “biggest concern” is, Amell’s love of stunts, and more…

In The CW’s THE TOMORROW PEOPLE, a portion of mankind has evolved beyond what normal humans can do. In fact, these “Tomorrow People” have some pretty nifty skills (telekinesis, teleportation and telepathy) that can assist them in many things…including trying to avoid Ultra, an organization that is trying to track them down.
On the show’s Vancouver set last week, THE TOMORROW PEOPLE star Aaron Yoo (Russell) — with some help from his dog, Merlin — teased to reporters what viewers can expect from his character’s power, and how his relationship with the newest member of Team Tomorrow People, Stephen (played by Robbie Amell) will develop…
