POKER FACE Teases the A-List Season 1 Guest Stars in New Trailer

POKER FACE, the upcoming Peacock series created by Rian Johnson, has released a new trailer focusing on the bonkers-stacked guest cast. (Nora Zuckerman and Lilla Zuckerman serve as showrunners.)

POKER FACE: Peacock Sets January Launch for Natasha Lyonne-Led Mystery

POKER FACE, the new Peacock mystery drama created by Rian Johnson, will debut on Thursday, January 26, the streamer announced. The first four episodes will debut at once, with subsequent installments dropping weekly.

According to Peacock, POKER FACE “is a 10-episode mystery-of-the-week series following Natasha Lyonne’s Charlie, who has an extraordinary ability to determine when someone is lying. When Steven Weber’s Dr. Dean Archer joins CHICAGO MED in March, trouble is around the corner.

“Steven comes in and definitely shakes things up,” Brian Tee (Ethan) previewed during the (virtual) One Chicago Day junket. “He was my senior medical officer in the Navy. I think he was brought in to really help me facilitate this chief role. But in doing so, almost sticks his head into too many places, and really kind of stirs up the ED for all of us.” Read more

CHICAGO MED Cast, Showrunners Tease Tension with the New COO

CHICAGO MED’s fourth season finds the medical crew up against a new problem: COO Gwen Garrett (Heather Headley), who has a very different vision for how the hospital should be run.

“[The tension is] always going to be there,” executive producer Andrew Schneider teased to reporters in the video below. “The interesting thing about that character is all of her arguments are legitimate arguments…we don’t just pull them out of thin air. We try to deal with the realities of running a hospital.”

For Gwen’s portrayer, “every week I get the script and go, ‘Ooh, what’s she gonna do today? Who is she going to be in trouble with today?'” Headley said with a laugh. And though there is a potential ally in her horizon, “it is an uphill battle…because you’re trying your best to run the hospital and keep it open.”
