Comments Off on SLEEPY HOLLOW: Should Jenny Survive? Lyndie Greenwood Weighs In!
SLEEPY HOLLOW’s first season ended with a whole lot of cliffhangers, but one of the potentially more deadly ones was Jenny’s very bad car crash. And while Lyndie Greenwood (Jenny) has been confirmed as a series regular for the upcoming second season, on SLEEPY HOLLOW, screen time doesn’t have to equal actually being alive. (For instance: John Cho’s Andy, who died in the show’s first episode, still appeared in about half of season 1.)
But would Greenwood rather Jenny survive, or, perhaps, would she enjoy getting to play some kind of supernatural version of her character? She weighed in…

Comments Off on SLEEPY HOLLOW: Neil Jackson — AKA Headless/Abraham — to Recur in Season 2
SLEEPY HOLLOW’s Headless Horseman will continue to play a part in the show’s storytelling: a rep for the series confirms that Neil Jackson, who played Abraham Van Brunt (AKA Headless) in the first season episode, “Necromancer,” will recur in the show’s upcoming second season.

SLEEPY HOLLOW Season 2 Will Have 18 Episodes
May 12, 2014 by Marisa Roffman
SLEEPY HOLLOW’s second season is going to be 18 episodes, Kevin Reilly, Chairman, Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company (FOX), confirmed on a conference call with reporters.
“Last year, SLEEPY HOLLOW, in its first season, was making mini-movies every week,” Reilly pointed out. “It was a big show. We stopped when we felt we could put out a creatively excellent product. I think the show ended on a high note, as opposed to teasing it out for six or nine episodes, and having it barely hold together, and having a lot of repeats to get there.
“The other part of it is SLEEPY HOLLOW has now been back in series production for already a month for [season 2],” he continued. “Next year, our order on SLEEPY HOLLOW is 18 episodes. We will have almost all 18 in a row. They are now in series production a good two months before just about any returning drama on television. The show is going to be really, really strong.”

Fox Announces 2014-2015 Schedule

With Fox shifting into year-round programming, there are a good amount of new shows debuting this fall, but a whole lot of shows are being saved for 2015. (And in terms of returning scripted, non-animated shows, only SLEEPY HOLLOW, NEW GIRL, and THE MINDY PROJECT are starting Fall 2014 in the same slot they started Fall 2013 in.)
“Our portfolio of content this year reflects the biggest investment in programming we’ve ever made,” said Kevin Reilly, Chairman, Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company (FOX) in a statement. “FOX is redefining the network experience on our air and as a 24/7/365 platform, with distinctive series, addictive event dramas and can’t-miss live specials that will deliver broadcast’s most youthful audience at scale.”

SLEEPY HOLLOW Nabs THE WEST WING Star to Play Benjamin Franklin
May 6, 2014 by Marisa Roffman
Now that SLEEPY HOLLOW is back in production, we have our first new casting news of the season: THE WEST WING’s Timothy Busfield will recur as Benjamin Franklin in the show’s upcoming second season, a rep for the show has confirmed.
“Benjamin Franklin is great because we are all familiar with so many of his contributions and now we get to pull back the veil a bit,” SLEEPY HOLLOW showrunner Mark Goffman told EW.com. (EW was first to report the casting.) “This man founded the printing press and was responsible for so many [innovations] and now we find out he’s involved in this secret war and that Crane had a relationship with him. I’ve read several biographies of Franklin and we’re teeing off on some of his precociousness and eccentricities.”
Are you excited to see Crane and Ben Franklin interact in SLEEPY HOLLOW’s second season?

SLEEPY HOLLOW’s Nicole Beharie: I Know Abbie’s Ready to Fight in Season 2
April 18, 2014 by Marisa Roffman

SLEEPY HOLLOW left Abbie in arguably the most vulnerable spot she’s ever been in — both literally and figuratively — and while series star Nicole Beharie (Abbie) allowed that her character “may be losing her mind” in purgatory, she was also firm that Abbie would be ready to fight.
Check out what Beharie had to say before the SLEEPY HOLLOW PaleyFest panel about Abbie’s changes, and how the reveal of Jeremy’s paternity will impact her…

Comments Off on SLEEPY HOLLOW: Len Wiseman on the Scope of Season 2
SLEEPY HOLLOW was a visually stunning show in season 1, and there is no indication anything should change next season. In fact, the scope of the show should grow, now that the second Horseman, War, has been revealed and his human form will be playing a major part in the new season.
Before the show’s recent PaleyFest panel, I talked with SLEEPY HOLLOW co-creator/director, Len Wiseman, about what he could tease about the scope of season 2…

SLEEPY HOLLOW: Tom Mison on Ichabod’s Season 2 Troubles, Why He Trusts the Writers, and More
April 3, 2014 by Marisa Roffman
Filed under #1 featured, Sleepy Hollow
When SLEEPY HOLLOW’s Ichabod Crane woke up in 2013, he found himself in an uncomfortable position — his friends and family were long gone; he discovered his wife was a witch, and while she was still alive, she was trapped in purgatory; he had to get used to all of the new inventions and way of doing things he had missed in the 200 years he had been dead.
And yet, as Mison points out in video below that all of that was a “walk in the park” compared to where Ichabod will find himself in season 2: his wife has been kidnapped (by his not-so-dead ex-best friend), his newfound son is causing all sorts of trouble…and there’s also the small matter of Ichabod being trapped in a box.
Check out what Mison had to say about Ichabod’s season 2 troubles, why he’s OK with not knowing too much about what’s to come, and more…
