After two weeks of Give Me My Remote readers nominating their television favorites from the past year, it’s time to vote for the 5th Annual GMMR TV Awards!
Most of the categories have five nominees, but due to ties, the number can vary per topic. (And, as a reminder, each category can only have two nominees per show, so only the top two vote-getters from any series moved forward to the voting round.)
Next up: “Worst Series Finale (Unplanned).”
Take a look at your nominees and then vote for your choice below!

When STALKER returns tonight, Ray has captured Beth…and she will fight back.
“Beth, who has been dealing with this one stalker [Perry], and then, of course, now [adding] in her life-long stalker [Ray], her past has come into her life,” STALKER creator Kevin Williamson teased. “To watch her go to battle with [Ray], through her wits, her psychology, her smarts, her kick-ass, badass self. She comes after him in every possible [way]. It was a fun episode to write. I was waiting for Beth to battle this guy, and she takes him on in every way possible.”
And in this exclusive clip from tonight’s hour, “The Woods,” Maggie Q gets to show off her action skills as Beth takes on Ray…

STALKER has been off the air since February, but the series returns on Monday, April 27th, with a big hour: the resolution to Beth’s kidnapping (at the hand of her long-time, just-released-from-jail stalker, Ray).
“It’s interesting, because this is a show that’s gone through so many transformations, from the first idea years ago, ’til now,” STALKER creator Kevin Williamson admitted about waiting out the show’s (planned) hiatus. “It’s been hard. It’s been…a little nerve-wracking to not know when we were going to air. They did a bit of a shuffle. I really hope the audience can find it on the 27th. At least our core audience — I do want to satisfy the core audience we do have, and make sure they see it; it’s the climax to our season-long Ray/Perry/Beth storyline.”
Though most shows might have waited until the final episodes of the season to truly dive into Beth’s stalkers — and her fight against them — the STALKER writers opted to have her face Ray head-on with a few episodes to go in season 1.
STALKER Exclusive Clip: How Far Will Perry and Ray Go to Scare Beth?

There’s tension in, um, paradise for the two men who are after STALKER’s Beth (Maggie Q).
Beth’s newest stalker, Perry (Erik Stocklin), has recruited her original stalker, Ray (Eion Bailey) — Ray killed her family in a house fire, which prompted her to change her name from Michelle to Beth — and now that Ray is “free,” he has some ideas for how they should go about scaring Beth. Unfortunately for Perry, Ray’s idea involves a gun…a step Perry isn’t quite ready to take.

There’s a little DAWSON’S CREEK reunion on tonight’s STALKER, as Kerr Smith guest stars as an anchorman who is victimized by a stalker for a second time. (Smith joined DAWSON’S CREEK — which STALKER creator Kevin Williamson also created — in its second year and stayed until the end.)
In this exclusive clip from tonight’s STALKER, “The News,” Smith’s anchor is on a break from the telecast when he starts receiving mysterious messages…which get increasingly disturbing.

You know when it’s probably not the best time to squabble with a coworker about their sex life? When you’re about to interview someone for a case.
Unfortunately, STALKER’s Ben didn’t quite get that memo, and in this exclusive clip from tonight’s brand new episode, “Crazy For You,” he tries to exert a bit of power in his dynamic with Jack…who instantly pings that Ben is acting that way because of Jack’s tryst with Janice. Awkward.

There are a ton, ton, ton of new shows launching this season, and it’s going to get difficult to keep track of them all.
To help you out, for every new show, I’m going to basically create a hub of info on the day of the premiere — pilot photos, what’s been written about it so far, and when you can watch it.
Next up, STALKER…
Stalker
âÂÂPilotâ -- STALKER stars Maggie Q and Golden Globe Award winner Dylan McDermott in a psychological thriller about detectives who investigate stalking incidents â including voyeurism, cyber harassment and romantic fixation â for the Threat Assessment Unit of the LAPD. Det. Jack Larsen (McDermott) and Lt. In the new CBS drama, STALKER, Lieutenant Beth Davis heads up the Threat Assessment Unit for the LAPD, but solving cases — and helping victims — isn’t the only stressful task on her plate: she also has to deal with Detective Jack Larsen, a new transfer, whose own ambition clashes a bit with the way Beth does her job.
On the set of the new Kevin Williamson-created series, Maggie Q (Beth) and Dylan McDermott (Jack) spoke with reporters about their characters’ dark side, the tension between the two of them, and more…

My friend/vodcast partner, Danielle Turchiano, and I have been talking about the new fall shows in our vodcast (we started with ABC yesterday, in case you missed that), but things took a turn when we got to CBS.
With Danielle’s choice of show, MADAM SECRETARY, I found myself in a position I didn’t quite expect — I had really enjoyed the pilot when I watched it earlier this summer, but as I took the TV “hiatus” to catch up on THE GOOD WIFE, I viewed the MADAM SECRETARY pilot a bit differently.
Check out what we had to say about those shows, plus the new Kevin Williamson series, STALKER…
Which 2014-2015 Television Trailers Are You Rewatching?

One of the best parts about the Upfronts is we traditionally get our first looks at the new shows that will be populating our television screens during the upcoming season.
Of course, the trailers aren’t always an indication of how the show will turn out — great shows have had terrible trailers, and terrible shows have looked significantly better thanks to a great trailer. But for now, there are a few trailers I’m obsessing over for the new television season.
