Oliver Queen is going through a few transitions in ARROW’s second season, and it’s making him alter how he approaches his work-life, and his life as the man formerly known as The Hood.
First up, Oliver has made the decision to no longer shoot-to-kill on his Hood-related quests, but as ARROW star Stephen Amell (Oliver) points out in the video below, that comes with its own set of complicated — and dangerous — consequences. Additionally, Oliver is actually working for the first real time in his life, which means he’ll have obligations and responsibilities he has yet to deal with before.
So how is Oliver handling that? Take a look at what Amell had to say to reporters on the show’s Vancouver set, plus his teases about this week’s brand new episode, “Identity”…

ARROW ended its first season with a crushing blow (Tommy’s death), and when season two picks up, viewers will find Oliver in a familiar place — back on the island, but in present day.
On the Vancouver set of ARROW, series star Stephen Amell sat down with reporters to talk about Oliver’s decision, post-tragedy, to go back to the place where he felt the most comfortable, how working with Diggle and Felicity has changed Oliver for the better, the debut of Summer Glau’s Isabel Rochev, and more…

ARROW’s tense first season concluded with the heartbreaking death of Oliver’s best friend, Tommy, and the fallout from that loss will not be something that is swept under the rug.
At Comic-Con, ARROW star Stephen Amell (Oliver) talked with reporters about his hope that Tommy’s death will be a pivot point for the entire series, the upcoming “awesome” season 2 premiere, the new Oliver, and more…

While a good number of people are aware of what Oliver has been up to in the first season of ARROW, there are a whole lot of people who are hiding their true motivations/actions from him.
But, it seems, that might be changing soon.
When ARROW star Stephen Amell (Oliver) talked with reporters recently, he shared that the final episodes of the season leads to situations where the facades “melt away” due to other circumstances.

The Cast and Producer of ARROW Tease ‘Unfinished Business’

Tonight’s ARROW is a pretty freaking big hour of television: in addition to the return of Seth Gabel’s The Count (who, during his last stint on the show, was the manufacturer of the drug, Vertigo…AKA the drug Thea was on when she wrecked her car), there’s the question of whether Tommy is up to some shady dealings, and in the flashbacks, Oliver begins his training with Shado.
But you’d like a few more teases about what goes down, wouldn’t you? Before this weekend’s WonderCon panel for the show, ARROW executive producer Marc Guggenheim and series stars Stephen Amell (Oliver), Colin Donnell (Tommy), Willa Holland (Thea), and Paul Blackthorne (Detective Lance) previewed what fans can expect from tonight’s brand new episode…

After a long (painful) mini-hiatus, ARROW returns with a brand new episode Wednesday night. And while viewers might be delighted to have the series back, things aren’t looking so hot for Oliver: he was forced to reveal to his best friend, Tommy, that he was The Hood, and now that friendship is floundering.
And it seems like things won’t be improving any time soon.
I spoke with ARROW star Colin Donnell (Tommy) about the multi-layered betrayal, how that impacts Tommy’s relationship with the people around him, and more…

Comments Off on ARROW at PaleyFest: Stephen Amell on Tommy Learning the Truth, Sarah Possibly Being Alive
After ARROW’s Oliver Queen worked so hard to keep his hooded alter ego a secret from those closest to him — the only people who know the truth are Diggle and Felicity, both of whom came into his life post-island — his hand was forced in the last episode when he revealed to his long-time best friend, Tommy, that he was really The Hood.
But that doesn’t mean Oliver is exactly thrilled about what went down.
I spoke with ARROW star Stephen Amell (Oliver) before the PaleyFest panel honoring his series about what comes next for the two friends, plus what Sarah Lance potentially being alive would do to Oliver’s mindset…
ARROW: Seth Gabel Previews The Count Going Toe-to-Toe With Oliver in ‘Vertigo’

ARROW’s Oliver has faced his fair share of villains, but with his sister, Thea, getting wrapped up in the mayhem of a new street drug, Vertigo — which caused her car crash at the end of the last episode — Mr. Queen is out to make someone pay. And if Oliver’s angry, that doesn’t bode too well for The Count, the man responsible for this dangerous drug.
I spoke with ARROW newbie Seth Gabel — whom television viewers may remember from his time as Lincoln on Fox’s FRINGE or Jeremy Darling on ABC’s DIRTY SEXY MONEY — about playing The Count (a role he’s previously called “the most fun I’ve ever had”), getting to tap into his darker side, on-screen fighting, what viewers can expect from “Vertigo,” and more…

ARROW fans will get to learn a bit more about Diggle in tonight’s brand new episode, “Trust But Verify,” when Dig’s old military buddy, Ted Gaynor (played by FARSCAPE’s Ben Browder), pops back into his life.
“You find out a lot about Diggle,” David Ramsey (Diggle) teased to reporters on set late last year. “We know Diggle has a big military background, and Ted Gaynor is one of his partners back during his military days. Diggle has to make some decisions because Ted proves to be a little more than Diggle thought. [Tonight’s hour] is a big episode for me because there’s some loyalties that perhaps aren’t as loyal we thought…We were very tight in the military. Brothers, in fact, in many ways. And those loyalties come into question in a big way.”
Causing complications? Gaynor is on Arrow’s list of people to take down.

When ARROW executive producer Andrew Kreisberg previewed Seth Gabel’s turn as The Count, he praised Gabel as being “so talented, so dynamic, so amazing.” (Gabel, for his part, called the role “the most fun I’ve ever had.”) And based on the photos for his debut episode, “Vertigo,” it’s not hard to see why both men were excited by this character.
Take a look at “Vertigo”…
