Jack (Alexander Calvert) has been an important, but complicated part of SUPERNATURAL’s Team Free Will. But with his finale death and subsequent emergence in The Empty—as well as his general acceptance of sacrificing himself—how is Lucifer’s son holding up when the show returns for its final season?
“Do you have a mentality if you’re dead?” Calvert joked to reporters in the video below. “I’m…looking at it from how Jack can be useful to help drive the Winchesters towards the end of their story.”
“We’ve seen that Jack is easily swayed due to his gullibility,” he continued. “But I think there might be a reluctance this time to go back right away, just because he knows the damage that he’s capable of. On the other hand, I think Jack always wants the Winchesters to be okay and succeed.”

SUPERNATURAL will end with its upcoming 15th season, its stars announced.
“We just told the crew that though we’re very, very excited about moving into our fifteenth season, it will be our last,” Jensen Ackles said in a video posted to Jared Padalecki’s twitter account. (The CW and Warner Bros. confirmed the news, as well.)
