ONCE UPON A TIME’s Ariel has found her prince — an ABC rep has confirmed that SUPERNATURAL guest star Gil McKinney (who played Sam and Dean’s paternal grandfather in season 8’s “As Time Goes By”) has landed the role of Prince Eric.
According to TVLine (who was first to report the casting), McKinney’s Eric will first appear in the sixth episode of the upcoming third season, “Ariel.”

Comments Off on SUPERNATURAL: Misha Collins Previews a Human Castiel
SUPERNATURAL fans will be seeing a new side of Castiel in season 9 — but it won’t be as dramatic as a shift as there has been in the past when Cas went into God-mode, etc.
“It’s still the Cas we know; he’s just stripped of his powers,” Misha Collins (Castiel) teased to reporters at Comic-Con.
What else could Collins tease about the newest version of Castiel? Take a look…

Comments Off on SUPERNATURAL Nabs WHODUNNIT? Host Gildart Jackson for a Guest Spot
WHODUNNIT? host Gildart Jackson has spent all summer playing a butler, Giles, on the ABC competition series, but he’s about to get a whole new role to tackle: a CW rep has confirmed that Jackson will appear on an upcoming episode of SUPERNATURAL.
According to The Hollywood Reporter (who was first to report the casting), Jackson will appear in episode four and play Haggerty, “a veteran member of the Men of Letters, and appear during a 1930 flashback.”
Personally, as someone who has been way too enthusiastic about WHODUNNIT? this summer, I’m thrilled by this casting. How about you?
SUPERNATURAL season 9 kicks off Tuesday, October 8th at 9 PM.

Comments Off on SUPERNATURAL: Jeremy Carver Teases Returning Guest Stars
Over its eight seasons on the air, SUPERNATURAL has collected quite the roster of guest stars. And sure, they’ve killed off a good number of characters, but death is rarely a massive deterrent on this show.
Case in point? Jim Beaver’s Bobby Singer is set to make another return to SUPERNATURAL, despite being killed off in season 7.
And who else might be coming back? At Comic-Con, SUPERNATURAL showrunner Jeremy Carver shared a little intel about which fan faves might be popping up again…
SUPERNATURAL: Jeremy Carver and Robert Singer Tease the Upcoming Potential Spinoff
July 30, 2013 by Marisa Roffman
Fresh off THE ORIGINALS — THE VAMPIRE DIARIES spinoff — making it to the fall CW schedule, another popular show is getting the spinoff treatment this upcoming season: SUPERNATURAL.
“They came to us; I think [The CW] wanted to do a spinoff,” SUPERNATURAL executive producer Robert Singer told me of the upcoming backdoor pilot, which is currently scheduled to be the 20th episode of the season (and he’s scheduled to direct). “I think what we pitched them, which they seem very excited about, is probably not what they expected.”
Which means if you were hoping one of the characters you already know and love from SUPERNATURAL was about to get a show dedicated to them — like Klaus and the Originals family did with THE ORIGINALS — you may be a tiny bit disappointed.

Comments Off on SUPERNATURAL: Jensen Ackles on Dean’s Season 9 Story
SUPERNATURAL’s Dean had a bit of a setback last season when he had to watch his younger brother go through the trials (something Dean had wanted to undergo), but for the upcoming year, Jensen Ackles teased he was excited that Dean won’t be playing the
“guilty cheerleader” anymore.
Take a look at what else Ackles had to say about his character’s role in the new season…
