GMMR TV Awards: The Winners Revealed!
June 30, 2014 by Marisa Roffman
Filed under #1 featured, GMMR Awards
After weeks of nominations and voting, you have determined who should take home the fourth annual Give Me My Remote TV Awards!
Before we get to the winners, I want thank everyone who participated in our annual contest. Without your nominations and votes, it would just simply be me saying what I loved the most, and what fun is that? (And in case you think your vote might not have made a difference, while most winners won by hundreds — or thousands — of votes, one category was won by TWO votes.)
Which also means this is a good time to remind you that these winners are 100% decided by you, the Give Me My Remote readers, and some fan bases came out in droves (and mounted really impressive campaigns). So if you’re delighted by the winners, yay! I’m so happy to hear that. And if you’re disappointed, a) sorry, and b) hopefully you’re satisfied with at least one category.
So with all that being said, the winners of the fourth annual GMMR TV Awards are…
Or if you care about a specific category:
- Favorite actor (drama)

Most of the categories have five nominees, but due to ties, the number can vary. (And, as a reminder, each category can only have two nominees per show, so only the top two vote-getters from any particular series moved forward.)

Comments Off on THE BIG BANG THEORY: Steve Molaro Previews ‘The Anything Can Happen Recurrence’
THE BIG BANG THEORY is back tonight with a brand new episode, “The Anything Can Happen Recurrence,” and as the title suggests, the gang’s Anything Can Happen Thursdays are returning.
“Early on in the series, the guys used to have this thing called Anything Can Happen Thursdays,” THE BIG BANG THEORY showrunner Steve Molaro teased. “It was a way of breaking Sheldon out of his very strict routine. I think it was the third Thursday of every month, there was no schedule and anything could happen. So this episode is the return of Anything Can Happen Thursdays.”
The timing couldn’t be better for Sheldon, who, as of late, has been struggling to figure out what he wants to do with his life.

Comments Off on CBS Renews THE BIG BANG THEORY For 3 Seasons
There will be a whole lot more BANG on CBS in the upcoming years: CBS has renewed the biggest comedy on television, THE BIG BANG THEORY, for three more seasons.
THE BIG BANG THEORY has made a practice of getting multi-year renewals. The last time the show was renewed was also a three-year deal, and before that, it got a two-year pickup.
“Comedy is a big part of our schedule, and THE BIG BANG THEORY is the biggest comedy force on television,” said Nina Tassler, Chairman, CBS Entertainment in a statement. “This multi-year deal further strengthens our network’s position for future seasons and marks another chapter in the great partnership CBS enjoys with Warner Bros. Television for delivering audiences the best in comedy. We’re proud to work with and showcase the incredible talents of Chuck Lorre, Steve Molaro and this amazing cast every week.”
