Comments Off on THE FLASH’s Andrew Kreisberg on the PRISON BREAK Reunion: It Was Wentworth Miller’s Idea!
THE FLASH got fans buzzing when it was announced earlier this week that former PRISON BREAK star Dominic Purcell would be joining his former co-star, Wentworth Miller, for a guest spot on the series. (Purcell will play Mick Rory, AKA the future Heatwave, in episode 10, and Miller will first appear as Leonard Snart, AKA Captain Cold, in episode 4.)
Making the reunion even sweeter? THE FLASH executive producer Andrew Kreisberg told me (before Saturday night’s PaleyFest panel honoring the series) that the idea to bring Purcell on the freshman drama actually came from Miller.
Take a look at the video to see what Kreisberg said about the reunion, other guest stars, and whether this is just the start of meta-humans teaming up against Team FLASH…

Comments Off on THE FLASH Stages a PRISON BREAK Reunion: Dominic Purcell to Guest Star
Former PRISON BREAK stars Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell will reunite on-screen for the first time since the Fox drama went off the air in 2009 on the upcoming CW series, THE FLASH.
A rep for THE FLASH has confirmed that Purcell will appear on the series as Mick Rory (AKA the future Heatwave), a pyromaniac who teams teams up with Leonard Snart (AKA Captain Cold), who will be played by Miller. (Miller’s casting was announced in July, and THE FLASH executive producer Andrew Kreisberg offered a little tease about what to expect from Captain Cold at the time.)
Purcell will first officially appear on THE FLASH in episode 10. Miller first appears in episode 4.
The Hollywood Reporter was first to report Purcell’s casting.
Are you excited to see Purcell on THE FLASH?
THE FLASH premieres Tuesday, October 7th at 8 PM on The CW.

Comments Off on THE FLASH: Andrew Kreisberg on Writing for Barry, ARROW Crossovers, and More
The CW’s THE FLASH is one of the most anticipated (and best) new shows of the upcoming television season, and the series is already upping the ante before it even officially premieres — the freshman superhero drama is set to stage several crossovers with fellow CW/DC Comics series, ARROW (where Grant Gustin’s version of Barry Allen made his debut in late 2013) in the first batch of episodes.
At Comic-Con, THE FLASH (and ARROW) executive producer Andrew Kreisberg sat down with reporters to talk about the importance of doing the upcoming crossovers (while also balancing ARROW’s realism with THE FLASH’s more fantastical tone), getting to write Barry Allen, and much more.

THE FLASH has yet to officially debut on The CW (if you exclude the crossovers that occurred during ARROW’s second season), but the show already has big plans in store for its first season: big guest stars (both good and bad guys), more crossovers with ARROW, and original FLASH star playing a vital role in this new version, and so much more.
At Comic-Con, THE FLASH executive producer Greg Berlanti spoke with reporters about what’s in store for THE FLASH’s first season, including the possibility of one of the core characters transitioning over to the not-so-great side (like they are in the comics)…
