HBO has released a new teaser for its upcoming series THE LAST OF US.
The series, based on the video game franchise, “the story takes place twenty years after modern civilization has been destroyed. Joel, a hardened survivor, is hired to smuggle Ellie, a 14-year-old girl, out of an oppressive quarantine zone. What starts as a small job soon becomes a brutal, heartbreaking journey, as they both must traverse the U.S. and depend on each other for survival.” The show stars Bella Ramsey, Pedro Pascal, Gabriel Luna, Merle Dandridge, Nico Parker, Murray Bartlett, Nick Offerman, Jeffrey Pierce, and Anna Torv. Additionally, Ashley Johnson and Troy Baker, who starred in the game, will also be a part of the HBO version in new roles.

HBO’s adaptation of THE LAST OF US has recruited Ashley Johnson and Troy Baker, it was announced at Summer Game Fest.
Johnson and Baker previously starred in the video game franchise as Ellie and Joel, respectively. In the HBO series, Bella Ramsey and Pedro Pascal will portray those roles, with Johnson and Baker playing different, TBA, characters. (HBO also released a first look at Pascal and Rasmey in the roles, which is featured above.)
