Comments Off on THE VOICE Highlight: SandyRedd Stuns with ‘River’
SandyRedd was the final audition on Tuesday’s episode of THE VOICE, and she immediately became someone to watch.
The songstress’ performance of Bishop Briggs’ “River” was electrifying, and not only did she move all four coaches to turn their chairs, but she inspired them to leave little tokens of appreciation to her on the stage.

Kelly Clarkson used her block for the season, as Kymberli Joye tackled “Run to You”…and it paid off for the reigning champ.
Clarkson instantly knew that Joye covering a Whitney Houston song would make her a prime candidate for Jennifer Hudson’s team; she was correct, as Hudson pressed her button shortly after Clarkson blocked her.
But Clarkson and Hudson weren’t the only ones competing for Joye: Blake Shelton turned his chair, too, which meant Joye ultimately had to pick between Clarkson (the most recent victor) and Shelton (the most successful coach in terms of overall wins).

Kelly Clarkson won season 14 of THE VOICE with teen Brynn Cartelli, and when the new year kicks off, she has her eyes on an a new ingenue.
Sarah Grace, who auditioned for the competition with Janis Joplin’s “Ball and Chain,” wins over Clarkson, returning coach Jennifer Hudson, and Blake Shelton, but Clarkson was so determined to win her over, she couldn’t stop talking.
Hudson and Shelton joked about Clarkson taking control of the time, but things went to a new level after her mic malfunctioned. “You broke your mic with your words,” Levine cracked in the video below. “Your microphone just gave up!”
But was her persuasion successful? Check out Grace’s audition, and share your thoughts about which team she should pick…

Comments Off on THE VOICE Highlight: Kelly Clarkson Uses Her Block for Hannah Goebel
For the first time, a VOICE coach’s block button paid off.
In Monday’s episode, Kelly Clarkson (the only coach with a block remaining) used the new twist on Alicia Keys when contestant Hannah Goebel performed Keys’ “If I Ain’t Got You.” The move worked out in Clarkson’s favor: Adam Levine and Blake Shelton turned around fairly fast, and Keys hit her button near the end of the song. Goebel admitted she would have picked Keys if she had the choice, but with her out of the running, she ultimately opted to join Clarkson’s team.
Check out Goebel’s audition now!
THE VOICE Season 14: Britton Buchanan’s Audition Inspires the First Block

THE VOICE season 14 is adding a twist to the blind auditions: the steal.
The coaches have never refrained from pulling any trick at their disposal to woo a contestant to their team, but now they each have one block at their disposal to use during the blind auditions. However, it has to be utilized wisely—they need to block their fellow coach before the potentially-blocked coach turns their chair; if they try to block them and the coach never turns, the blocker gets it back to use later. The blocked coach only learns they’ve been blocked when they see the bright red “BLOCKED” where their name normally lights up post-chair turn.
“We love the block,” THE VOICE executive producer Audrey Morrissey told reporters after a screening of the premiere. “We always look for elements we can add…[to] change up the dynamic of the show. And we were thinking about the competition: we’ve never really had an offensive defensive move. So we came up with the block.”
