THE VOICE top 8 found themselves facing quite test on the Monday, December 5 episode of the singing competition: doing a duet (with a fellow contestant) of a Whitney Houston song.
“When they told us that we were going to be covering Whitney, I said, ‘No, we’re not. We’re not doing that,'” Team Gwen’s Justin Aaron jokingly recalled to reporters in the video below. “People can sing Whitney…[but] there’s only one Whitney.”

When THE VOICE’s Kate Kalvach started her take on Shania Twain’s “You’re Still the One” on the Monday, November 14 live show, she quickly realized something was wrong.
Viewers could see see Kalvach gesture to her ear a few times during the start of the song, but it wasn’t until she completed the number she was able to explain what was going on. “My voice was not in my ears,” Team Camila’s Kalvach told host Carson Daly.
